Now that could fit in Silver's budget! I have it in my cart on amazon, but not sure when I'd actually pull the trigger. Sounds like the perfect way to see if hammocking is for me!When I decided to try hammock-camping, I bought Grand Trunk. The ultralight single-person was <$20
The weight rating would have to be enough for every kid in the neighborhood! My kids would love that tent. I'm thinking cool dad of the year award with that
Getting the woozies and crappin' in my pants just watching the video. No way I'm gonna do that! I'll get my rush fix some other way.Talking about extreme hammock hanging.

I'm with ya!
Besides my life is risky enough without all that nonsense.... when I was at the grocery store and the cashier asked if I wanted paper or plastic bags I said "surprise me"![]()
Holy crap! Your heart rate and blood pressure must have been through the roof! Living on the edge bro... Living on the edge
Lmao. Well enough with the suspense what she give you?!
... I live my life a quarter mile at a time;
For 26 seconds or less, I'm free.
I'm with ya!
Besides my life is risky enough without all that nonsense. Like just the other day I didn't even bother to separate my colored and white laundry. And get this, my buddies can't believe it.... when I was at the grocery store and the cashier asked if I wanted paper or plastic bags I said "surprise me"![]()
I'm a lineman and i climb tall structure while handling high voltage electricity. idgaf what anyone says, hanging like that is nerve wracking. like my mentor says, "if you're not scared, you're stupid and shouldn't being doing this".
Sounds to me the store has a serious inventory management and cleanliness problem. If paper bags store right and in a dry place, no reason to have them in the bags unless reused or the food sat in them quite a while before unpacking. You're a crazy man!
I always go with plastic! I've heard horror stories of people unloading their food out of paper bags and having cockroaches run out of the folds on the bottom of the bag. I would have to burn my house down after that.

Then again, and on the other hand, have you tried eating insects?
ETA: Re:store - I'd reconsider shopping at a store which such a problem and try someplace else.

Agree but I would argue there needs to be a reason, an attractant, to lure bugs to the unused paper shopping bags. So this tells me either they're damp or store is quite dirty. In a less developed country like (California???), maybe so. More developed like (Louisiana???? - isn't that a banana republic??) no. Puns aside. My only guess is that the bugs were hiding out in the cardboard boxes that fruit ships in, then I'm guessing that they make their way to the stacks of paper bags.
I've never had it happen to me, but I have heard about it on the news out here in California.
I haven't purposefully eaten bugs, but is has happened! Ants aren't to bad. They're kinda spicy!
I agree with you on choosing the right grocery store. I won't shop anywhere that can't even keep the parking lot clean. I have two different Ralph's grocery stores near me and one is a complete dump while the other is almost as sterile as a hospital.

Bugs: we all eat 'em even if we think we haven't. Purposely, I've eaten bees, moths, grasshopper or cricket (forget which now) and silk worm pupae. Do yourself a favor, skip the silk worm pupae. Was told it tasted like vanilla - hummeeeee - it did not.
FYI: There's an insect museum in the "sin city" of that banana republic I mentioned above. You can even sample some bugs if you wish. (My experiences were in Asia, where I also had snake and dog - but not cat. Hey, it wasn't not my dog though!!!)
Best to ya.
