Greetings: This is J. W. Kilpatrick here. I am 63 years old and have had a lot of experience with firearms as I am sure that many of you also have had.
These are some of the lessons that I have learned from my experience with firearms.
1. Don't leave it where someone can get it and blow their brains or someone else's brains out with it ( on purpose or accidently).
2. The bigger the caliber of cartridge that you use, the bigger a hole it will blow in someone and the quicker it wiil stop the fight (if you can hit them with the bullet).
3. Placement of one or two bullets into the target is more important than getting many rounds off quickly that don't hit the target.
4. It is difficult for most ladies to fire a large caliber pistol and and keep the bullet on target because of the heavy recoil of these large caliber firearms.
5. Get a lady something that is simple and easy to control that will allow her to hit the target on the first shot, even if the caliber of the bullet is a small caliber. (Accuracy and placement of the bullet into the target on the first shot is most important in stopping the threat quickly.)
6. Get a gun that is absolutely dependable and will fire each time you pull the trigger. Keep your gun properly maintained on a regular basis.
7. Get a gun that if dropped with a cartridge in the chamber, it will not accidently cause the cartridge to fire when the gun hits the ground. I know many people who have accidently shot themselve this way. (I assume that Jordy is a very important person to you. So, don't let this happen to her.)
8.If one does not have the will power and determination to blow holes into someone who threatens their life, they should not carry a gun for self protection and don't try to make them carry one.
9. God Bless you brother. I hope that you never have to see Jordy or your self use a gun on someone else. However, in a world filled with evil people, it does become necessary to do so at times.
