OT: I need help, men

My wife and I have decided not to have kids. Neither one of us is cut out to be a parent. We both have a history of substance abuse and still struggle with depression. We are not willing to give up our freedom. We know our limitations, we are not patient and selfless enough to raise a child. We came to this conclusion after years of talking about starting a family. The final decision, I will be getting a vasectomy in two days. Another married couple I know is talking about the same thing, not having kids. Some men are meant to be fathers, I am not one of them. But I can only tell you what is right for me, only you can determine what is right for you. Good luck.

Danny, if you want, you can give my email to your sister if you think she'd like to talk to me.

Frank you and your wife have my undieing respect for being able to recognize your limitations and then having enough gumption to act on that.
Not many do anymore, hell there's seldom few that even think about it, they just have kids.:(
And even though my respect for Danny was great it went up even more for him when I read this post of his.

Like a lot of things: the folks who are scared of the responsibility and if they should do it or not are the very ones who should do it.

The ones who don't understand the responsibility go right ahead and have them and then when it's too late realize they don't want the responsibility.
