OT:Kifaru,the Busse of Backpacks

Anyone have one of their hunting packs?

The reversable/removeable camo and blaze orange fleece seems like a great idea...

I have a Pointman, a Marauder {Military}and a frame hauler {Hunting}, and some smaller gear too. Bombproof, brilliant equipment for heavy duty.
The only pack I think works even better for heavy carry is McHale, also custom made, but the modular Kifaru system is more flexible.

Yes...the modular system on the Kifaru packs was a huge factor for me....so tempting...made my decision so much harder.

In fact....when I called McHale...one of the first things I said was "So, can we do anything to solve my hunger for a modular/molle array?"

Obviously he figured out how to best set me up. :D

Can't wait to get my pack...

But, like I said...I definitely still want a Kifaru....great packs and "Busse Quality" indeed!

You can do alot with a McHale Inex. You can add huge side pockets, a back pocket and variations on the lid. But Kifaru will let you add a pack to a pack, plus pocket modularity. And you can do a limited amount of freight hauling with the cargo system. Excellent carrying ability.
But for carrying heavy, heavy loads, the McHale is the best I ever used. The floating hip belt and bypass system are brilliant.

I think the Kifaru Marauder is probably better but I went with ATS RAID pack this last year and think it will work well. The MOLLE loops on the inside of the pack would be really nice though. The ZULU will be perfect for 5-7 day trips in the wilderness.

I have the ATS RAID, and an original Lightfigher/EAGLE R.A.I.D. pack as well. I love their set-up, and think it couldn't be better with the exception of internal MOLLE loops on the inside/rear of the main area. The mesh pockets on the inside of the front of the pack are great as are.

I carry the Ruck on the right outside sleeve, stow the BattleMistress on the left when not on my hip.

I love the Kirafu Claymore with Dock-n-Lock (Thanks MMIAM!) - it's great.
I'll be buying more Kirafu gear to go with what I have - may try a Marauder out if I get another need....

Hit the nail on the head....

from what i've seen and heard, mchale packs are of VERY high quality. but, if you thought kifaru was expensive...

Indeed!....I've added just about every option you can add to the bag...and my wallet hates me! :grumpy:

The carry options on the Kifaru were a big pull for me....still are...who can argue with modularity?!?

I have always used Gregory packs. Not as light as some but great for larger loads and feel lighter on my back than many others that weigh less.

I have never understood the military pack thing… they just seem unusually heavy for no good reason.

Managed to get an E&E last year. Girlfriend liked it enough for me to get her one in coyote.
Have been intrigued with the Zulu, Hmmmmm........maybe this year.

Silas, mind telling the maker of the kydex rig for your HK?
Nice EDC toys there;) Thanks much.

The Kydex holster is from www.comp-tac.com

It's their regular IWB holster. I bought their Infidel holster for my USP45C. It has way more carry options than the regular IWB model. All of their holsters are nice though.

What rifle is this? I recognize alot of the design influences and it looks very familiar but I can't seem to put my thumb on what it is.

It is a SIG556, optics ready (means no iron sights from factory) model.
The scope is a leupold 1.5-5x illuminated circle/dot reticle Vari-XIII.

Here are a couple of other pics.
