OT: Need opinions from fellow hogs

nothing like a 917 to make the world spin faster on it's axis. Fastest car ever at LeMans.
 
wow, Gunmetal is making a comeback. Matte black was leading, and satin is at the bottom so it seems.

I am still torn over gunmetal or black. Gunmetal is very similar to the body color.
 
On 2nd thoughts maybe silver and silver is a nice combo.
Your car could use a buff.....:)

I would vote gunmetal.

I have silver on one of my cars. Gets dirty way too quickly. Gunmetal on the other but I wish I had now gotten black.

Just remember, you need to be very "cool" to pull off a hot car with gunmetal rims.

You may be forced to wear sunglasses after dark. :cool:
 
Coming from one who owns a Porsche and has Ceramic Brakes...Silver/Gunmetal all the way.

That GT2 is silver and the rims are stock color, I already have those and am keeping them as is, but these other wheels are like the ones I posted above.

What color is your carreraS? and what color rims?
 
Basalt with silver, yellow calipers

The rims in that picture are paint to match the car option.
It's a very nice car on the Bay right now, I think the BIN price was only $190,000.00
Has more Carbon, Leather and devated stitching than I would get, but still a sweet ride.
I bet sticker was over $220,000.00


PS...I just see red X's for the Silver and the Black.
The car shows?

I think they painted the car to match the wheels:D
there was a black one at my local dealer, that someone purchased. But before he did, I got to play with the new launch control:D

I like Basalt Black, I like it more than black because you can see more detail. Do you have silver/satin or the factory grey/silver?

Now I can see the pictures and Connie and I both would go with the Silver/Gun Metal ones

Actually this new launch control is pretty cool. It comes with the 6 speed manual in the GT2. The way it works is you depress the clutch in, then you floor the gas pedal, the engine revs to 4200 rpm and sits there. When you drop the clutch, as the engine/tranny engage, the car goes. It hits like a freight train. it is awesome and part of the reason why it will run a low 11 second quarter mile.

Having said that I would never use it in my personal car. I use to drag race a lot, and I have had and seen to many broken axles, drive shafts, blown clutches with 3500 rpm+ engagement. As you already know these are road cars not drag cars so IMO it is useless for me.

I like the new PDK system for the auto cars, but I like 6 speed manual even if they are slower.

I also got to drive this. :D
