Actually this new launch control is pretty cool. It comes with the 6 speed manual in the GT2. The way it works is you depress the clutch in, then you floor the gas pedal, the engine revs to 4200 rpm and sits there. When you drop the clutch, as the engine/tranny engage, the car goes. It hits like a freight train. it is awesome and part of the reason why it will run a low 11 second quarter mile.
Having said that I would never use it in my personal car. I use to drag race a lot, and I have had and seen to many broken axles, drive shafts, blown clutches with 3500 rpm+ engagement. As you already know these are road cars not drag cars so IMO it is useless for me.
I like the new PDK system for the auto cars, but I like 6 speed manual even if they are slower.

That said, I can't tell which is more lovely ... that car or your smiling wife. The new environs seem to agree with her. :thumbup:
