As many of you know, I've been going to school since I got out of the Army at the end of '03. I've been doing well, and really starting the grad school search. I planned on graduating in the Spring, maybe even suma cum laude.

It doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Jordy checked my mail for me Saturday night, and said I had a package, but she didn't know where the pkg boxes were. I thought it was kydex 1911 holster I've been expecting.

I was surprised when I opened the box, and found a large envelope from Department of the Army. Gulp.

I report 10 July for mobilization processing.

I've put in a lot of hard work this last year and half, but I've had a lot of really good times, too, and I want to thank y'all for being part of that. I know the recent Blade show, where I was able to meet some of you, will be one of the high points of the last few years. Take care.

John,

I know it's a knock in the pants to get your plans adjusted.

Good luck and God Speed (and it isn't for a few weeks anyway).

Is there anything you need that you don't hvae anymore? You can never tell what some folks have stashed away...

I'll need to check through my gear. Of course I got rid of a lot of it. Thanks for the kind wishes...

John,
I know this isnt exactly a fitting or proper place to do it, but these men are as good as any to do it with.
I hereby recommend you for the Yondan.
IF you can find a 15 dan in America before you leave, you can take the Godan test if you wish.
Tell him about your Army dates.
You'll get the godan test in Iraq or Afghanistan one way or another.
Please survive it and start training again as soon as you can as hard as you can.
I know there are guys in the Zone who are Bujinkan and are training with each other, so maybe we can get you hooked up...
Let us know where you are if you can...

Dang John....

What can we do to help?

You need anything..gear or anything?

Just NAME IT bro! Seriously! NAME IT! We got your back!

You got all of the moral support in the world here on HI!...

You got my number...don't be shy.

Shane

I love you, Danny. You got a big 'ole heart.

Maybe I'll see if I can hook up w/ Bud before I head to Benning.

Keep in touch until you leave & after
as you are able

in case I miss the chance otherwise

Godspeed & fair winds

Thanks, everyone.

Shane, I have 25 days to mobilize.

Maybe I could use a good knife. I'd be proud to carry a Justice Custom Knives blade if I get sent over the sand box, which I think will probably happen.

John

John I feel for you. I know that it it is a real kick in the ................to have to go back to the sh*t.

There are alot of slip knots that should go before you. I hope your mos is back in the CO headquarters, typing or supplies. There is more I can say but I just want you to know I will be thinking of you. Be careful and don't volunter for anything!

Good luck!!!!!

You'll make it OK. The Army is getting a top man. I'm guessing you'll let us know what's going on with you from time to time even if you're not in a good place- if possible, of course.

Sorry to hear this John...wish I were young enough to go with you at the same time.

Maybe you will do a backfill stateside...hope for the best!

.

 I am so sorry John. Check your voicemail, and if there is anything at all that we can do for you, just say the word. You've got my number. Stay safe and stay in touch.

OK.

What do you need?

Stuff? Space to stash stuff?

Can you take Young Bert, the-not-right dog with you?

We'll need mailing addy, etc.

You got folks that need stuff?

Think about it. Then tell us.

wacherass.

Good luck over there. The military usually tells you where you are going, so you should not be surprised.
Hope you get back quickly - hope for a quick end to it all.

Wow John, this hurts my heart.

I have come to have a great fondness and respect for you.

I will miss you.

You will be in my prayers.

:(

Oh, no, John. I am really sorry to hear this.

I am at a loss what to say right now, but know that we will do what we can to help...

But you knew that. Told you I was at a loss what to say.

Da__it!

Mike
