OT: Prayers for Dad

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. These last weeks my Father had a chance to see his immediate family. He said yesterday he thought it was a parade- even his eldest son and his wife came out last week. (They don't come out much for anyone)

I told him he was likely to experience many such parades in the next twenty years. But I don't know what will happen. I wish I did. I've been lucky in that most major losses in my life I see coming- I'm informed they will happen in a dream or while awake.

But I can't see this one- and I'm troubled and worried for both my Father and Pappy. So I appreciate all your help, and I know they will too.

Thank you all again. Dad's out of surgery. Now, if he can just go the week without another post surgical stroke. I know your prayers helped.

I'm an atheist too so I will hope for a good outcome for a fellow non-believer.

Hopefully the hardest part is over...

On my end, I am collecting mail for my much beloved neighbors, one of whose parents is undergoing a similar operation. They are a few days later arriving home than they predicted.

I am quite worried. The guy going under the knife was one of the good guys.

If anybody has any bits of pre-smoke left over, light a bit for Roger Burton.

It won't be wasted, take my word for it.

Smoke going up tonight, but with some hope and joy playing peek-a-boo through the smoke.
