OT: Survivor Sidekicks (photos)

Good looking golden, silver.

We had a good day of romping around the woods. Him chasing all manner of creatures, me looking for prospective morel areas.

This pic is from a week or so ago, but is still an accurate representation of how tuckered out he was. :D

Thanks, guys! No steaks, but plenty of treats and some new toys.

trevitrace, glad you're pup is doing good enough to get out with you. Do you own land that you get out to?

When my ex before my current ex and I split up I won a wonderful consolation prize, Ms Gypsy at six'ish weeks old. I am the luckiest doggy daddy ever, Gypsy is the best dog anyone could ever hope for. Little dogs SUCK but she proved that stereotype wrong. Saturday a friend of that ex told me that she put down Gypsy's dad, Knox. Apparently he knocked over the trash and ate a chunk of a diaper and it had swollen up in his gut, they didn't know if he'd survive surgery and it would cost a fortune. I think I would definitely make the worst parent ever, because if I had to decide between buying a new house which would be great for my kid or surgery to save my dog I would put my kid up for adoption, it seems a no brainer to me. RIP Knox, all of the stupid, fun shit Gypsy gets up to is all because of him.

You aren't alone on that Grog.
I'm one of those people that prefer dogs over people considering they rely on us like children do.
After spending $16k in one week to try to save my old dog Gracie, I had some friends that thought I was nuts. Even though a new truck or down payment on a house would've been great, neither of those things bring happiness like a great companion.

I'm sorry for your loss. He made one heck of a good pup for you.

Apollo Loves any Temperature below 70 degrees. That is why he is smiling so big. This last week was perfect for me at 65 degrees and sunny.

Grog, dogs are definitely family. 100%

It's National "PUP" Day so I'll have to post up some of my knucklehead Kimber.

Standard, the puppy with well worn work boots is a pretty cool pic.

Pup is looking good, Casino!

I'm a day late and dollar short as usual, but here's Roxie suffering through her hard, hard life.

Poor Roxie and her tough life! All curled up and confined to only one seat cushion.
