It also has that bread taste or flavor, I like a lot. Also it is 1 liter bottle not 750ml. 750ml of Jewel will be around $30 - not such a big difference.
Thanks, Vassili.
Ah right I didn't notice that. Thanks

I wonder if Guyon has also been distilling Everclear? That would definitely explain his unique posting style...![]()
You know, I think you're right!

I generally have Kettle One handy. Recently tried Titos and 360 Vodka. Of the two, I like 360 better as it is a more smooth Vodka at any temp. My staples going forward are Kettle One and 360 (won't buy French Vodka).
By far, the best I have ever had was a brand called Baikal Vodka. Sold at Trader Joes, imported from Russia. I believe it was the Summer in 1998. By far the best Vodka I have ever had. They went out of business, but OMFG, hands down the best I have ever tasted. They used water from deep in Lake Baikal and it tasted so clean I thought I had gone to Vodka heaven.
Everything since has been compared against it and failed...
You know, you and I live in NOVA, as do I think a few others. De Opressor Libre (Sp?) is in MD. Me need a Vodka, Single Malt, INFI fest somewhere around here...Are you sure we can't get Jewel or Standard out here where we live?? I'm usually enormously busy and scatterbrained ... but there must be SOME place where you and I can 'score' one or the other!

No kidding...
There is a killer Russian Deli here in Herndon. No Vodka, but I have picked up some nice Russian and Polish beers there... The Smoked Fish isn't too bad either!![]()

Email me at jeepnut22 AT hotmail DOT com. We can chit-chat there...My local liquor store had a sale on those as an introductory offer, you know first bottle you buy and then you buy again no matter the increase in cost, anyway they had only a crate :grumpy: and it was $16/bottle needless to say I had a BIG party which I don't remember.
But if you are serious I can send ya one, supermarket next to me sells them they have regular, and platinum I believe,
lately its been cognac (henessy privileged) and Wine (porto) for me though.

OldPhysics, let me know what I can do to help! I can bring my pile of INFI as well! I'll check out the family calendar (and beg) and see if there is an opening for a get together.

Sounds beautiful! There is one Russian place in Bay Area where Middlfield splits to two Old Middlefield and New Middlefield, called something like Euromart (for some reason this people from Russia who open stores here call all of them Euro-something, like it is Europeeeean not Russian). They have also vodka from Ladoga plant (St.Petersburg), from Nemirov (Ukraina but still Russian Vodka) etc. pretty good choice.
Thanks, Vassili.
