Nice pics :D yeah, knives are pretty easy/affordable to collect.... at least compared to watches. WHEEEW. Man, you could mortgage your house for some. I'm set for watches. I can't see buying any more, but I might sell my IWC to help get a Omega Railmaster XXL (wind up) to be a strictly dress watch. I don't have a winder and that one is a BEAUTY!!!

I guess I'm just crazy about Omegas.

If you're just going to get one watch, I'd probably go with a Valjoux 7750 with a screw down crown from whatever watchmaker/company does it for you. It's a bullet proof movt that's relatively cheap to fix/work on that many people are able to service (from what I've heard) and has available parts. I've seen some pretty cool O&W's on Ebay that have it. Around $700ish.

If I could have one watch, I'd totally go with a seamaster chrono. It would be the speedmaster if not for the absence of a screw down crown. I don't want to wake up one day to a foggy watch the way I wear mine. I make sure it's going to be a dry day for me before I put on my speeder. After all, sometimes it's nice to stop by the beach and grab the trunks out of the trunk for a swim on the way to work during the summer and things like that. You've got to know what time you're working with if you're running a tight schedule

I've been wearing Seiko Kinetics now for about 15 years, and before that it was a sieko automatic Dive watch.. great time tools

That's an amazing picture right there Tim :D I didn't even notice the day/date complication on that speeder when you shared that pic with me....that's a sweet one! Valjoux 7751....that thing must be a wallet crusher to have serviced  What's the service costs like from Omega...or do you have someone else do it for you?

There is only one place I know of in the Seattle area that is authorized to do Omegas (and all other high end watches), they are very nice to deal with and been around a long time. It cost around $550 to have a Omega fully serviced/re-furbished. :D

.

The Seiko Titanium Jungle Master, fondly known as the Land Shark, is on of my favorites.

I have a ten year old Omega Seamaster Omegamatic. I also swap out a 20 year old Tag Huere every so often. My stash is a bunch of Waltham and Hamilton Railroad watches I picked up pre-marriage.

I have a collection of vintage watches. Currently wearing Certina DS3 Royal Australian Navy issue circa 1970

I have a yellow one as well. Civilian issue.

Damn, that's half what I paid for my auto Speeder :p I might as well wear it until it gets grossly inaccurate or breaks down before I have it serviced. I know there's much cheaper people that SAY they can work on anything but I'm suspect on their competence and would slap the turd out of myself if I tried to skimp on service only to have my watch butchered by some guy with a false "can do" attitude. :D:thumbdn: Every five years would be $2200 in 20 years and I figure I might get that out of a high quality watch WITHOUT service and just buy a new one for less than that in another 20 years that doesn't have 20 years worth of scarring from a bull like myself :foot:

Here's a pic of my Blancpain.
