Other Items From Damascus???

Check out Audra Draper's website. She make pendants, jewelry, etc, and she's taught some of her kids to make it, too, and there's always something available and interesting from the Draper clan!

one of the coolest things i've seen from damascus is a pizza cutter....can't remember who made it though.....i've also seen little trinket boxes and the usual stuff-rings, pendants.etc.....i like ed caffrey's pens from damascus......what about maybe a letter opener....ryan

Peter Martin made a really cool pizza cutter from stainless damascus made by Chad Nichols and that thing was awesome!

john...it was peter martin.....and yes it was way cool....ryan

steven-who made the damascus prybar if you don't mind me asking?....ryan

Pretty sure you have seen my pry bars from Gary House, Dave.

Odd, eccentric and more than a little brilliant in pattern creation....the inimitable Gary House. I have purchased two of them, one as a gift.

They are superb, and I have wrecked stuff with them. It was in my hand more often than not at Blade this year.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

STeven, I talked with Gary and he said to tell you thanks.

Thanks, Bill.

I have appreciated knowing so many talented and fine people through the knife community over the years. Finding that crow/prybar at the table you guys had at the OKCA was a real special treat.

I have hit glass, plastic, car doors, car windows, bridge supports, and woods from pine to rock maple, all with great results...the only thing I haven't hit yet is concrete, because that will scuff and gouge the finish for sure.

Gary said that it was heat treated to be springy, and this really allows you to wind up and smack something with it, much harder than you would expect.

Take care, Happy Holidays, and Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

This was a lot fun thanks all who joined In. STeven I do remember your crow bar score and I could tell you wanted to smack something.

Do you think its possible for someone to make damascus guitar hardware....im looking at my tuners and the bridge and thinking of the possibilities....

Does this fit with the theme of the thread? I made it for my wife with the assistance of Tom Kernan.
