ouch

Too many to list over the years but fortunately none of them were terribly expensive just inconvenient and frustrating to lose.

i'm feeling sorry for you, hope you find a new one :D

Very very old leather handle case fixed blade. It was found in the woods in mint condition. Oddly enough lost and reclaimed by the same acre of land it was originally found.

Haven't lost a knife yet, but I did throw a Milli in the garbage because I cut myself with it really good, or bad, depending on how you look at it.

It was my first day using it, brand new, and ya, throwing it out was nothing short of dumb.

I got mad at a knife for my stupidity......

I bought another Milli a few years later and sold it the next day.
I must have developed a phobia for that knife!

Lost my beloved Emerson CQC-8 which has a serial number of my birth year. I carried that knife all the time. Then, months and months later, my son found it in the pocket of an old pair of shorts I put in a rag pile for the shop. I kissed it, cleaned it, oiled it put it in it's box and right to the safe it went. I had already replaced it with a Horsewhen when it was AWOL.

I always say that the number one threat to a folder is loss. Accordingly my EDC folder rotation contains budget knives of quality.

Buck 110, not expensive. But I'd had it for over 20 years.

Don't know what I'd do if I lost my Hinderer, my CRK, or any of my customs.

^ Maybe remove number one?

I get the humor (I think) but this section of the site is viewed by a lot of people that might find an issue with that.

BTW, I am not generalizing this to members.....

Nevermind. I see Esav took care of it, glad I didn't quote it.

Continue on....sorry.

I lost a chive in my washing machine for over a month. I found it tucked in the gasket and it only had a very small amount of rust on it. I still have it...

I've never permanently lost a knive, or thrown one in the garbage either...

I know man, it was stupid.

I make money with my hands, so I got frustrated, tossed it in the trash, and off to the hospital I went for some stitches.

I was angry, just at the wrong thing.....

Technically it's not something I personally own (and therefore no expense of mine), but I recently lost the local knive shop. And I've JUST RECENTLY got interested in knives as a hobby.

I lost my Benchmade Barrage. It wasn't losing the hardware that was tough it was all sentimental since it was a Father's Day gift...
