So right you are! Mike I would never have had the opportunity to meet some really great people both here on the forum and at Blade and ECCKS. Also the pursuit for another Hinderer or accoutrements is part of the enjoyment.

With this in mind, I'm really looking forward to seeing the Hinderer crew at Blade.:cool:

Was pretty sure I wasn't going to make it, but now I am going to make (at least) FR.

So, Final will you be attending this year? Any others (who post here) going to Blade?
 
N2K not sure about Blade, I have some other travel plans, however I did not decide until one week before the show last year, so never know. But if I do would be nice to meet other Hinderer posters. Met Rubi at ECCKS, amazing how us Hinderer folk have so many parallel interests!
 
Nothing like putting a face to a person (people) that you spend as much time with as we do here. Met F.O. (as he mentioned) at ECCKS and it was Great meeting my Friend.
I have said it before but will repeat, much like back in the day where friendships were forged over a backyard fence or a Home's Front Porch - We have done so in this virtual world of Porches and fences, the only thing missing being the face-to-face.
We know each others tempermant, tastes, likes and dislikes. Many of Us have shared with each other intimate details of our private lives (in private) and received support and solace ALL held in confidence.
There are Marriages that don't work as well as some of our Friendships....:)
So, to get a chance to "meet" those who are already Friends, acquaintances, comrades AND then hang out later and socialize .....
Good stuff. Make it IF you can, more to it than just maybe winning a lottery.
The Bonus too, is meeting Rick, Rob, Mike, Pete and the Guys.
 
Blade! It would be my first knife show. I want to go. I need to go. Just gotta get medical clearance to travel. Which hotel do you all recommend? Walking distance to the show would be best for me.
 
A lot of really good options that are fairly close...Cobb Pkwy @ 285...Marietta...Vinnings...the conv center is right across the road from Cumberland Mall off Cobb Pkwy...quite a few around there! Good luck and hope to see you there!
 
Thanks, chemdawg. It would definitely be a bucket list achievement for me to go. But I need my wife to accompany me, so I hope there are good malls nearby :) PS: Just re-read your post: Cumberland Mall will do nicely.

Wow what a bummer can't believe I missed that run of posts.... I get distracted and miss the posts for a while.... And Rubi dreams up "where's the XM"! Genius! Count me in.......bring it on! Gotta love this stuff....

There are hotels all around the convention center from the Waverly Rennisance to Embassay Suites across the street(ish) and many, many more. So many options to fit various budgets and needs.

Shuuuush!!!, don't tell everyone just how great some of the people here are; once you get to know them. My Web presence is not me, only I am me. There is So much more to each of us than our interest in excellent knives, so very much more.

Looking forward to seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new people.

BTW : I propose we post a new " Where is the Hinderer " on an agreed upon Day/Time each week ( Last WINNER posts the next one) and we keep a "bragging rights" score as an incentive. What is a "Hot" evening? Monday?
For this one, I'm still sending some lucky Herd Member a Tube of Lube.
Location has to be Exact and the originator of the WH is the Judge (No crabby's)
Hope it proves to be Fun... on your Honor - don't be using any fancy CIA decoder ring kits (N2K) :p
