Out of Africa...K'roo.

A pleasant surprise showed up....
Willem calls it a McNative, I would call it a gunstock. African blackwood.View attachment 2326834

Thanks Jack...lol. The waboom sign makes me chuckle
Hope you won't mind if mine shows up next week. I promise not to show it alot. Willem said he had a struggle with the covers this time.
Kroo reminds me of Charlie's knives.

I'm glad my friend, I never thought I'd be using that pic so often! :D Definitely not, I hope it lands right on time, and please feel free to share the graphic! 🤣 You must be Willem's biggest customer :) The quality is incredible Bob, I was showing Golden Gordon mine last week, and pointed out that when the blade is open, you can't even see the line where the spine of the blade starts, and the top of the frame begins

He does take great pride in his work Jack. He kept the Kaboom initially because he did not like how it looked.
How he makes such knives living in the bush is beyond me.

What an absolute stunner, Bob. There’s something quite special about that blade shape, with a Gunstock, shield selection, and even that accent of blue… It’s just all working really well together. Was this a design combo that you commissioned, or had he put this together and you wanted to try it out?

I wish I could take the credit, but this one is Willem's creation.
I agree with everything you mentioned Jon.👍🏻 Some of his designs are out of bounds, but this shows his great taste in design.

Another fine knife there Bob. I like the blackwood. The blade there looks like the one most associated with the Native pattern. I think the Native is an Oeser design. Romano has the Dino which is similar. And Sakman has the Rhino. Birdvis has the Hitchcock. To me these all have Gunstock influenced frames. I like how Willem puts his own spin on his knives and went full gunstock. Congratulations.

Thank you Kurt. I appreciate your input on the design.👍🏻
