Out of Africa...K'roo.

Texted Willem earlier and mentioned everyone's fine examples of his work. Since he lives in the country( Karoo, South Africa), he experiences many power outages. This makes communication and working on knives difficult, hence our long wait time. He mentioned he will try to visit the thread when power will allow him.
He asked me to say hi to everyone on the forum.

South Africa power outage are becoming legendary, I'm a Canadian currently in Mississippi on a sailboat and I've heard about them 😂

First I have ever heard of them, especially in the 21st century. I'm envious of you being on a sailboat and count my blessing I only lose power during hurricanes.
Enjoy your cruise.

Gentlemen, I am overawed...Thank you so much for all the kind words and compliments, and especially Bob for starting this thread. I have been a member here for ages but due to time constraints I have not been very active here at all. But I think maybe it is time for Forums to make a come back. Social media is fine, but it lacks that personal and focused interaction you can get on forums, so I am thinking I need to spend a bit more time here :-)
Thank you all for showing your K'roo knives - it was just a pleasure and a privilege making them and seeing the enjoyment you get from them just makes it more so! I am honored to have been able to play a role in this :-)

It’s been a pleasure to see your work Willem and I hope to see plenty more here! All the best.

Welcome back Willem. I know it's difficult, but would enjoy learning about the philosophy and process of your builds.

Great to see you here Willem. Greg and I have been enjoying the knives you crafted. They are just fantastic 👍👍😎

Awesome thread, Bob!!!!

I have two examples. A beautiful lambsfoot that was given to me by non other than Bob 😃 and a single blade trapper. Two perfectly built knives. Fit and finish are astounding. Hope to get on his books soon.

Just when I thought I could stop buying knives…I stumble across this thread. Now I have something to hunt for again, and I really enjoy South African knives.

Thanks BoB…and THANKS BOB!! What a great thread! Gonna have to watch this one. :)
