I was wondering what you Guys & Gals carried outdoors, on a short hike or trail to haul around your RAT knives & Gear
I've been carrying a small Northface pack a Tad larger that the PFII but has a similar set up as the PFII(PFII 1400 cubic inches (23 liters) of carry capacity)
The North Face has
Volume 2150 cubic inches (35 liters)
Dimensions 20.5 in x 13 in x 8 in
description: NF Sure shot
Excellent trail bag and using a Tek-loc on the Izula sheath I can carry my Izula on the Right Shoulder Strap Izula running horizontal for my lefty cross draw, What do you peeps carry ? :D

I'm not a hunter, but the Badlands Whitetail Hybrid pack is so comfortable it was worth the money.

Specs:

WEIGHT 4 lb. 2 oz.
DIMENSIONS 20" x 12" x 11"
CAPACITY 1980 ci
POCKETS Infinity + 1
CAMO AP or Max

Like I said, I'm not a hunter, so I'd prefer a solid color (which they've told me they're working on!) but the pack is so comfortable and versatile I take it on every day hike.

I'm looking at the Maxpedition Vulture-II. Looks like a very nice backpack. Lots of room.

I'm strongly considering one of the Badlands packs.

They are really nicely built and as far as the camo goes, I live in south Texas, that'll fit right in. :)

I use a Blackhawk Hunter Pack and love it....plenty of storage, Molle compatable, Lightweight, and has hydration pack

I normally only carry a Maxped 10 X 4 setup or a Maxped Fatboy Jumbo.

Maybe one of these days I'll look into a normal backpack.

Why, my Maxpedition Malaga of course! An Izula in my pocket, the 3 on the shoulder strap and the 6 in the slash pocket at the small of the back! :D

Their warranty is insane! Plus, they're located a few miles from my office, so buying from their factory store and talking to the designers was a lot of fun!

They really want to build something that will be used hard, and they back that up.

Hmm, sounds familiar? ;)

Kifaru E&E G2 with Xray straps for day hikes, travel and all around edc - its only about 1,000 ci, but just swallows stuff:

Kifaru Express G2 when I need more room (its versatility rocks):

A while ago I was VERY close to picking up one of those Badlands packs. They look amazing. I found an MSR Dragonfly on sale for 100 bucks, though, and I had in my possession that day a 100 dollar gift card. Since I already had the PF II, and no stove, I got the stove.

Hmmmm, had my heart set on Maxped backpack whenever I get around to it but maybe I'll have to look this company up.

I've been using a kelty redwing forever. it was cheap, holds plenty, and it hasn't worn out yet so I can't really justify getting a new daypack. when I do I'll probably pick up an osprey, that's what my multi-day pack is, and it's amazing. neither one is tacti-awesome, which suits me fine.

Hey Joe, what part of Lone Peak is that? I've hiked and camped up on the Dry Canyon side (north east Alpine) but never seen so many Aspen up there. Timble Fork?

BTW Sweet looking pack. Been thinking of getting one for day hikes.

I've just been using my PFII for the moment.
I want a little larger pack and I really like the BadLands but I may stick with the CondorII just so I can attach some of the things I already have to it.

I have an Eagle IIIA Large pack in multicam, internal storage size is 3100 ci. It's a little larger than the regular Eagle IIIA. It's a great pack, very roomy, and extremely rugged.
I'd put up a picture but my camera is on the blink right now.

It's the trail to Silver Lake. Trailhead's at Silver Lake Flat Reservoir up American Fork Canyon.

One of my favorite hikes.
