I'm going to have to harass you all sometime soon. Those hammocks look awesome. I've looked at a few jungle hammocks as an alternative to a bivy. Those seem like they would work pretty well.
I tried sleeping in one of those cheap little mesh hammocks that fold up the size of your fist years ago on a college geology field trip. I had a few beers before bed time and it took me a few tries to get into the darn thing.
I've always liked the idea of the jungle hammocks. I've also always wondered how it's possible to get into the hammock AND into your sleeping bag at the same time.
Stay sharp,

My JK blank came in today. I was given the same instructions you were. I have the up swept style blade.Mine will begin earning its keep tomorrow.
Great pics.
You guys really make me jealous ! I'll be getting out some this week though. Feeling good and healing up!
Awesome pics , that place looks great. Thanks for taking the time for the pics, especially the hammocks, I haven't been in one since Panama. Makes me want to try out one of the newer ones.
Jake , you're really making me want one of Ray's knives.

Great pics fellas, awesome blades. Looks like a great time:thumbup:
I am jealous, there are very few cedar trees at my normal stomping grounds.
Great pics and It looks like you had a great time. Brandon we are about 4 hours from each other how far is Jake from you?
Bryan
You need to head out my way sometime bro!
:
Nice!
I got out last night for some car camping over here in RI, chilly but I was comfy & warm in my bag & tent.
I may have to try out the hammock thing eventually, but it makes it a bit harder to share a sleeping space with your significant other!
You just have to get creative.![]()

We tried to figure out a way to hook them together, then we could've snuggled to stay warm. We had to settle for being side by side.
