I got stuck working the weekend and my wife had a Monday and Tuesday off, so I thought I would be doing the boring hanging around the house thing watching love stories:thumbdn: But to my suprise my wife said why don't we go camping
.
So Early Monday we left for Pachaug State forest in CT. We had a blast, and even though she insisted on taking some luxuries like a radio and even an air mattress(which honestly made a big difference in comfort
) she did let me do all the cooking over the campfire.
The camping area was picked clean of fallen wood, except for a sizeable oak tree laying in some mud. It was quite a chore to chop it up in with out an ax of saw.
I found a few smaller standing dead (or almost dead) oak, pine, and maple trees that were taking down with a 12 tram and 15" HI AK
Autumn is my favorite time of year and the pics will show you why, despite me not being the greatest photographer.
Here they are in no particular order.
