Overuse of the Like button.

Maybe I’m just getting old and pedantic, but ........
Why do members go through a thread and hit the Like button on every post .
In my opinion it devalues the whole idea of the “Like” button .
Maybe there should be an “Appreciation and Thanks for Contributing “ button because that is what the “Like” seems to have turned into .
 
OP’s going to need to establish some rules for when a post is like-worthy. A rubric is in order: before we hit the like button we’ll fill it out and send it to OP for approval.

Also the “ha ha” variant… did you experience a chortle? A chuckle? A snicker? A belly laugh? Are you laughing with them, or at them? Must one laugh out loud for it to count?

These limited and predefined buttons are insufficient to express the breadth of the human experience in 5 seconds or less. Is someone going to take this to the tech thread, or is OP going to have to do it?
