YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!!OK everyone, just hit like on his post and get it over with....![]()
I think sharply exhaling through one's nose counts for the "ha ha".OP’s going to need to establish some rules for when a post is like-worthy. A rubric is in order: before we hit the like button we’ll fill it out and send it to OP for approval.
Also the “ha ha” variant… did you experience a chortle? A chuckle? A snicker? A belly laugh? Are you laughing with them, or at them? Must one laugh out loud for it to count?
These limited and predefined buttons are insufficient to express the breadth of the human experience in 5 seconds or less. Is someone going to take this to the tech thread, or is OP going to have to do it?
But, like, what if I like to 'like' things? I like knives a lot and a lot of people I like post a bunch of knives that I like, so if I like them and I like the knives I should 'like' that, right?Maybe I’m just getting old and pedantic, but ........
Why do members go through a thread and hit the Like button on every post .
In my opinion it devalues the whole idea of the “Like” button .
Maybe there should be an “Appreciation and Thanks for Contributing “ button because that is what the “Like” seems to have turned into .
There's just not enough nuance in the reaction options.
I want to express an "eyeroll". The "haha" emoji doesn't properly convey when I'm laughing at someone, and not with them. I'm not "sad" or "mad"; I guess the "wow" is the closest thing.
I'd like to put the eyeroll emoji idea at the front of the list for improvements. There's just not enough nuance in the reaction options.

Here's a great example of how the like button can also be a commentary on the issuer of the like than the subject at hand. But, like, what if I like to 'like' things?
The problem is we need the balance a dislike button would provide.
Nice postHowever overused, it's nice being able to credit good posts without having to reply and just clutter up the thread. It should make for more efficient threads. No more "nice knife!" type replies.
And it stays out of the way, so what does it really matter if it's overused?

I'll raise you a "like in perpetuity" button, where every post ever gets assigned an immediate like.I would like if there was a like button in the subject line that would let you like every post in the threads you like,
