Pack set ups

Daypack in cold weather or far from shelter - Maxped Pygmy Falcon II
Daypack in moderate weather or close to shelter - Maxped 10x4 bottle holder
Extended trip pack (i.e multiple day backpacking) - Osprey Helix

I'm one of those who's always in search for the "perfect pack". So I guess that I'm still searching for the perfect set up.

For just taking a quick walk in the woods, I use my Maxpedition 10x4 Water bottle set up.

For a longer stay I have been working on tow set ups. One with a traditional look and one with a more tactical.

Traditional: Filson Medium Field Bag for short trips and this added to my Duluth Timber Cruiser for an extended stay.

Tactical: I'll be trying out my new Eagle Industries Becker Patrol on an up coming trip.

Getting ready to head out for an overniter using the Max Jumbo versi and the 10x4.

Short dayhike: Maxped proteus w/ 10x4, or 10x4 alone
Dayhike or overnighter: Camelbak Alpine Explorer, soon to be replaced by Maxped Falcon II (when it arrives) w/ 10x4
Multiple day: Haven't done one yet, but I'd have to go with the Alpine Explorer since I don't have anything else.
