Padre

I sense a business opportunity, once the production line is in place and the custom shop is moved to a different location. A line of FFG stainless Fiddlebacks for the kitchen would pay an awful lot of bills. Kids don't get cheaper as they get older. ;) :D

I was just sitting here thinking the same thing. It is an area of the industry many embrace at some point, from Stuart Mitchell of Sheffield fame to Ethan Becker of Becker Knife and Tool. I have drooled over several of Stuart's custom kitchen cutlery pieces. It seems that many of us who truly love knives also love to cook. Steve, my editor at T.K. has one of the most extensive and diverse collections of hand made kitchen knives I have ever seen. We all gotta eat :)

Well we will all have to hold out for the Fiddleback expansion! I'll have patience! Good things are worth waiting for :)

You never know, every time I turn around Andy is stepping up his game in one way or another. Who knows what the future holds.

I was kind of thinking Andy should do a throwback week and make some of his old designs.

This is a great idea! Old designs, thick handles, S35VN or thick O1, simple micarta or dense tropical wood...yeah! Just give me enough notice to get my funds together! Padre is awesome, but old Kepharts and Nessmucks would be outstanding too!

I miss Mr. Dick's writing about the world, kitchen knives, and stupid human tricks. I used to love when he made fun of forum readers named grizzlebearscat or similar. Hope he's doing well, please send along regards.

He is still doing a lot of writing for Harris, and maybe some editing still. We were both in the Sept. issue of Special Weapons, and I have seen his articles in Survivor's Edge and a couple of other magazines. I have always enjoyed reading his work. We still email, so I will pass that along man.
