It's kind of wierd. I didn't order one, but if they are just tubes sitting around the shop, why the wait??

Like I said, I didn't order one, but why does it take months to send out a tube??

I sort of wondered that myself, but I can't help you with an answer.

Well, the offer implied that there was one cannister for sale, but we know that there was more than one sold (at least three). This could indicate that some more grinding has been required.

As for the delay, I have a strong feeling that, when these arrive, none of us who ordered one are going to be disappointed.

I, for one, am worried not the slightest.

What is a "Grab Bag"? It seems that you get this peice of PVC plastic tubing and hope their is a Busse in it. What is the price on this? Please fill me in on what these thing are.

Also what is an extravaganza? How often are they scheduled each year? Please fill me in. Thanks everyone.

I have a feeling that you are right about that Mike.

Peter, Use the Search feature to find out all the info you want about this particular extravaganza.

Peter, the story behind the PVC tubes is that Jerry has a panchant for storing knives in them and then taking them with him on long road trips. He buries them and then teases us with a general idea of where he put them ie what state he was in. So far only one has been found, but supposedly there are maps and clues for thousands of these thing all over the US. Too bad Jerry was drunk when he hid the maps and clues. As for the extravaganza, as best I can tell it was the first one and hopefully not the last, but if you consider it occured a while after the 10th anniversary of the companies inception, you might be waiting a little while for Jerry to collect enough stuff to have another one. :)

Much appreciated Progunner and everyone else. How much do these PVC tubes go for? Have you ever received one with nothing in it? If I see something up for sale at an extravaganza how do I purchase it?

Peter: As far as I know, this was the only time that these "grab bags" have ever been offered for sale. I wouldn't plan on seeing them offered again. Of course, Jerry can be full of surprises and I could be wrong.

Cost was $300. I would not sell the rights to mine for that, however.

Hey, that's an idea! Busse futures!

.
Okay, so the cost was $300......
You just don't know what you're getting.
I hope I don't get flamed for this (It's just my opinion)
But the one that was found isn't... well... isn't...
Ahem.....
quite what I would expect for $300,
even if it is a unique busse.

That we know of ;)

:D:D

True. I mis "spoke". Eric is right, I believe it is the only one to have been found, reported to Jerry, returned to the shop for clean up and then sent back to the infiologist that dug it up. Is that closer to the truth as we know it Eric?
