Okay, so the cost was $300......
You just don't know what you're getting.
I hope I don't get flamed for this (It's just my opinion)
But the one that was found isn't... well... isn't...
Ahem.....
quite what I would expect for $300,
even if it is a unique busse.

I've heard that one of the earlier buried tubes had 2 original AA's in it. How's that for your $300 worth

:D:D

Oh what I wouldn't sell for that freaking tube!!!!!

That is correct, but still not what I was thinking ;)

:D:D

I think I know what you were thinking and if it is what you were thinking then I think that you had better look out what you're thinking.

Now my head hurts, thanks a lot.

Back off of the IL payloads Heavy, they are mine!

Maybe not. Depends on the hog. I would give $300 for a similar blade hallmarked in a similar fashion. Have you seen what the Desert Warfare Fighters go for if you can find them? It all depends on how bad you want it. I say $300 for the chance to snag a GP Busse hall marked blade is quite acceptable. Now if I bought a tube and there was just a Skeleton Key in it, then I might be a little ticked off. Unless it was the 1/4" hollow ground one, then I might turn a blind eye to it's size. :D

The one belonging to RVO3VOM and the one found a few years ago in the Desoto National Park in North Alabama aren't the same, are they? If not, that's two found that I know of.

Wait a minute, Desoto Natl Park? I don't recall hearing about that one. Do you have a pic Mike?

Going by memory here. Jerry buried it during a Blade Show trip. I'm guessing 2002. Found by a lady, I believe. She was in some sort of military or SAR unit? I even remember pictures.

Any clue what the finder has turned down for that blade??

No, you don't know what you are getting, but I don't think Jerrry would put out any non-winning scratch-off tickets..... :)

THe pictures have been deleted though.

I have to admit that we were really surprised by the response to this offer. We had 23 HOGs try for these. Not bad for a "pig in a poke" so to speak. ;) Only 9 tubes were available and only 2 were already finished. Those tubes have already been sent out. The other 7 tubes will be sent out today and tomorrow. They will contain the knives that were sitting in them waiting to be finished. I didn't know what was in the first 2 tubes, (I do now  ) but I do know what is in the final 7. Yowza!!! I think you lucky 7 will be okay with what you get.

Nuke on my "Pigs in a Poke"!!!

Jerry

I have the maps and notes, drawn and written by Jerry's own hand, to one of the unfound nuclear payloads, in Cucamunga (about an hour outside of L.A.). I have good info to help find the location, too. But I don't drive, and thus, can't get out there.

According to Jerry, it is the largest payload of all. Anyone wanna join me for an adventure?

Seriously!

Excellent news! So what was in the first two? Alright you hogs fess up!!!! :D

This may seem like a silly question, but how does one get ahold of these maps and notes. At this point, that's about the best chance I'll have of getting a Busse in the next few months :p
