pageophile

I hate to hear about people getting upset over deals this way.
(And I hope your medical problems turn out to be temporary and minimal!)

Get Fucked

blackscout...when you waste a man's time, delay a sale, then make crappy comments and suggestions about going to a pawn shop when your called on it...you got the exact response your email deserved.

It's pretty clear the seller just wanted to complete the sale...your response was insulting and lame.
The response you got was totally appropriate.

Partial list of good trades I've had here since 1999...Thanks!

You commit to a sale and then don't send payment because "It's not on the top of your priority list" and "buying a new toy is second"?. In the mean time, the seller is left holding the bag. I hope your health issues aren't serious, but you were able to work during that time but couldn't come up with the time to send a payment you promised to the seller.

If you weren't able to pay for it in a reasonable amount of time, say 48 hours, you should have let the seller know to re-list it and apologize. Letting someone hang because it fit your priorities better, that's just bad form.

Let's post the beginning then shall we:

I am interested in the marathon you have for sale. Would you take $600 Canadian dollars for it? I have the cash in hand, I could send you a MO.

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,

I'm set-up for Paypal and EMT.

I've found EMT works great for Canuks. All the benefits of Paypal without the fees, kinda like an electronic MO.

Of course MO's also work.

Best regards,

Garry

Garry,

Is EMT done at the bank? I have an account at REMOVED. EMT would be great.

Chris

I will transfer the money Monday.

Garry,

Sorry I was unable to complete the Emt today. At 4 in the morning I lost consciousness and fell on the bathroom floor. My wife took me to emergency and I was there most of the day. I am mot sure what happen I don't even remember it. I am going for a EEG at 8 tomorrow morning. I will transfer funds in the afternoon. I was not able to make it to the bank today, I hope you understand.

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,

I hope you are better today and all is well.

You don't need to go to the bank for the transfer, it's all done online.

Maybe it's different in your neck of the woods.

Best regards,

Garry

anyone looking here for information can draw their own conclusion. I will never deal with Pageophile (Garry) again. In the span of 5 days he went form cordial to a complete wanker.

His Reply:

Garry,

5 days and your whinning? You should go f*** yourself. I will make sure the people I deal with know what kind of a f*** wad you are. It is not a wonder they don't normally like to deal with cross border bull****. This message with conclude my correspondence with you.

The only feedback you are showing is from itrader and it's over a year old.
The conclusion I'm drawing from both these threads is that you will waste a sellers time and effort to give you a good deal, nonchalantly treat them poorly and then whine and wonder why you end up being called out on it in the GB&U.

checking out blackscouts visiter messages suggest he has lead others on too.........

Chris. I have sent you an email but have not heard back from you on the watch. I guess I should take it from your silence that you are no longer interested? Please confirm?

Blackscout,
Just checking in to see if you got my email about that Icebreaker shirt. Wanted to make sure you knew it was not a sweater, just a baselayer wool shirt. It's still yours if you want it, but if not, let me know as I have another buyer waiting to hear back from me. Thanks." end quote.

5 days without payment speaks for itself.

Esav,

It is very unfortunate. for all of the deals I have done through Blade forums (there have been many) This is the only one to go south. I am only 39 and quite healthy (I thought) so this was quite a scare. I am very sorry that I could not put Garry and this deal at the top of my list. I have had a real reality check. I have a wife and a 5 yr old son and this is the first time I have ever thought about what it would be like for them if I was not here. I had fully intended to complete the deal. I did want the watch but as I said in one of my last emails, I did check my email form the coffee shop. Glad I did.

I posted this so others can read this experience and draw their own conclusions. I have over 100 forum deals and this is the first problem of this kind. I guess if you do it long enough sooner or later........

also do pay attention to the time line this all happened in less than 5 days.

Chris

all of your 1 recorded dealings? (1 positive itrader over a year old). quote: "there have been many". seams to be a contradiction here.

my conclusion is that your time is more important than other peoples. i have 3 kids and a busy life also, but that doesn't stop me with payments. i work construction too (21 years as a union carpenter, teach rough framing at Honolulu Community College for past 6 years). were you finishing the concrete yourself (mason)? only the masons and laborers would need to be on site the whole pour. the pour lasted the day, but you couldn't drop off the payment to the post office after work, during lunch, etc... .

man up dude. all though the item was up for sale over a month, doesn't mean you should jerk the seller around. the visiter messages i posted show a recent history of sellers having difficulties with you as a potential buyer. also you have a history of saying "i'll take it" and not buying as seen here:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=545148

people here will form their judgements by your postings and correspondance with the seller. from what i see the only problem you had was with you sending the payment.

ps- you also tried to lowball the seller. bad form. more lowballing history:

I don't really think that was lowballing. It didn't appear to me to be an outrageously low offer. Just the start to a negotiation.

I'm sorry to see things end this way over what didn't appear to be that serious a situation.

just got a email from blackscout:

i guess he is mad at me for stating my opinion on this matter.

Maybe if you sent a copy of the paperwork from the hospital, the dates and time might help by confirming the timeline and your out of pocket costs for your side of the deal. I know first hand how a serious health issue can slow things down but do not understand how it absolves one of payment upon release from the ER.

I know first hand that shiit can happen, thats why I either make online payment immediately or mail out a MO the very next day.

I can understand why the seller is upset; he wonders how spending some time in an ER explains the failure to ever make payment and absolves you from any blame. I know first hand how having something medical happen that scares the crap out of you, but not sure why it explains not paying your bills upon release.

Unless of course the money intended was used to pay for the ER sevices but I thought that it is free to Canadian citizens

just one more time to try to clear the confusion ( I still will no longer be part of this forum).

- I negotiated a price with the seller. not possible to pay that day.
- next day emailed the seller on how to complete payment. EMT recomended. Online check if this was possible. Not currently from my account. thought there would be no problem going to the bank the next day.
- early that morning I passed out and had a "seizure" If you need proof It could be supplied but since I am not on trial....
Spent the better part of the next day in ER and getting tests, I was also told by the ER doctor that I cannot drive as it may happen again without warning.
-the next morning I was at the hospital for a EEG at 8am. At 10 am I went to the bank. Teller had to look up how to do a EMT. I was told that I need to set up telephone banking (I have online banking set up why that was not good enough I don't know).
-I went home and emailed Garry that EMT had to be set up and would take 48 hours to clear. I offered a MO. I also told him that I had a prescheduled concrete pour and I would do my best but likely would not make the bank that day Thurs. I got the MO Friday morning and check my email like I said I would. I got Garry's ignorant email at that time. He let me know he would be relisting and saying something negative.
- at that point I declined to sent the MO. I think many of you would do the same.

This is the last time I will try to defend myself. I intended to buy the watch. I do not live in or even close to town. I have done close to 100 transactions with out incident. The bad taste is in my mouth this will be my last transaction through Blade forums. I thought with in the 5 days having completed the transaction under the circumstances would be acceptable. It was a used watch and not a mater of life and death (which is the other thing I went through) If a moderator would like to see a copy of the hospital papers I would be able to arrange that.

As to the reaction from the member that chose to jump on the band wagon and condemn me you already know what I have to say. I would be interested to see how you would react in my shoes.

Sincerly, Chris Scott

Don't forget to tell us to all 'fuck ourselves' That's the sign of a truly mature person. In response I will say this: Fuck yourself. You'll get more pussy that way.
