How easy is micarta to work with? does it grind like wood on a belt sander? Also would micarta be a better choice over wood for a 10 inch blade chopper? I might be interested in the ornge and black.

Micarta is basically plastic. It's a lot harder than wood. You have to use low grit belts and slow speeds, or else it will get really hot. You also need to wear a respirator when working with micarta. You really just need to try it out yourself and see how you like it.
