para 2 or manix 2 xl?

Ok so i couldnt help myself. I took a sneek peek today at my pm2. The edge doesnt go all the way to the choil. I am paranoid about getting a fake. Is this a sign of realvor fake it came from knifeworks.com

mine doesnt go all the way to the choil either, its like that on alot of spyderco knives, i have seen some manix's the same way. but i wouldnt worry about it on my older pm2 i just sharpened it to the choil when i set the bevel on it the first time. So that should be areal one considering that both my real pm2s have had it

I am sure the manix 2 xl is an amazing knife, but i love this pm2. To anyone on the fence Or anyone looking for a knife the pm2 is almost perfect. Everyone needs a pm2

Midmo...if you ever make it over to St. Louis, GP Knives (forum sponser) is just across the river in Troy.

Midmo, there's a stickied thread at the top of this forum where lots of Spyderco users have posted great information about how to tell if a Spyderco is fake or not. Some forum members have even the time and energy to create very useful diagrams showing exactly what to look for in a PM2.

Please take a look and also in the future please point others toward that thread.

Short story is, your PM2 is fine, all PM2s have a flat portion of blade right before the choil.

Congrats on the new knife. Knifeworks is an awesome dealer and anything you get from them will be legit. The manix XL is a great knife but I would have recommended the pm2. More useful blade shape (for me) and rides better in the pocket.
