How'd you miss out on it if it's barely shipping to dealers? You can get one, just keep your eyes peeled at your favorite knife stores.

That may not work well. The lock face may be different between the liner lock and frame lock blades. And may even be different between blades of the same lock type.
 
I meant that i missed out on the pre orders. Doubt ill be lucky enough to snag one from a dealer without a pre order. Thanks

I've got one arriving from Howes tomorrow but I think my pre-order from KC is going to fall through. I spoke to KC today and they already shipped one batch and I missed the boat so I'm guessing they're not going to receive anymore. Oh well, one's better than none! ;)
 
Well... my pre order with Howes must have fell through if you say yours shipped? I sent Jim an email asking for an ETA after reading your post and he couldnt give me one? :(

maybe im wrong, but i believe that was just the first round of shipping. i think the rest of the order is coming in mid may. i hope so, because then maybe i'll get order ;).

No word from knifecenter either ,ordered mine Nov. 20th . When did you order yours?I have to say the way they leave the pre order up even untill this day kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth . I ordered in Nov and missed first shipment why would they still have pre orders up . Do they expect 100 orders to fall threw. It just seems convoluted and shady. Maybe they take pre orders just to tell people you didn't get it but you can put that money to something else here, I know I won't . I also heard here on the forums( after my pre order) ,that knifecenter placates sprints and preorders to frequent buyers. I really hope thats not true.

You don't need to panic, they do not charge you unless they have the item in stock. No need to spread incorrect and exaggerated conspiracy theories. You going to scare people, someone might believe that stuff.
 
Well I hope people do believe it ,everything I said was true. Nowhere in my post did I say they charged me . But an explanation that the maker never tells us how many we get and that's why we leave it up is a poor excuss to me . Of a 600 piece run you can take a guess of how many you will receive and then take a certain amount of pre orders over that guess . Then even if all sales fall threw you throw out a email and the extras are gone that day.like I said it just leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and might prevent me from shopping there in the future. Just saying the way the handle there pre orders might be something management might want to look into .the conspiricy theory part I guess your talking abouth the placating to frequent buyer part. Let me just say I never said I have a inside source at KC and know this to be true. I said I saw a few post from other forumies that said this and hope it not to be true. For all I know it could be joe shmoe who hates the terps and wants to bad mouth KC .
