Para 2 Sprint - Foliage Green w/ Elmax

I already have too many PM2s but I am a big fan of Elmax, and may have to try to pick one up. Why Spyderco, why?
 
I really want one of these, so that means I'll probably get screwed again and they'll all be sold out before I wake up that morning :P
Or something. Somehow the knife gods will conspire against me.

I cannot predict the future but history has shown that BBS will price the product high enough that it will knock out the scammers and the casual buyers. This will mean that it will take more than a few instances to sell out the knives so anyone that has enough money to buy one can probably buy one.


I think I'm an Elmax fan, but I'm curious how it compares to other Sprint/exclusive steels such as XHP, 204P and S90V.
 
How long did the Blue S90V PM2s last on BBS?

But yes, bdmicarta, I would wager you are correct. The price won't be for the faint of heart.
But still. I've been burned in the past :(
And for some reason, I thought this was Howe's even after I clearly read the part where it said BBS.
 
It will be interesting to see how Spyderco's Elmax compares with ZT's Elmax. Most makers agree it's a tricky steel to heat-treat properly.
 
...so if there's cc models coming out now does that imply the full production release will be soon?

WOW! Leave it to BBS to "bundle" a Sprint PM2. First it's their ridiculous prices, and then when I think I can pick one up for $200, they "bundle" it with a knife that I don't want for an additional $100. This is stupid.
 
Not the way I'd do it, but it's clever. The PE Lil Matriarch isn't flying off the shelves, so this will move product.
 
Up on BBS website for sale at $299. You have to purchase a Lil matriarch with it...PM2 not sold separately

I agree that as a business move it's an ingenious idea. I'm upset as a consumer and an avid PM2 collector. I have to buy one to keep a complete set. So, I guess I'll have a Lil Matriarch for sale soon if anyone's looking to pick one up.
 
I think there will be a lot of PE matriarchs for sale. Good luck. You might get $50 bucks for it, making that a $250 para2. I gotta pass. :-(
