Para-Military 2 vs. ZT 0350

P2 is thinner, lighter and not as big. It does everything I need it to w/o the size and weight of a 350.

You said hands down PM2 but then said out of 6 ZT's you owned the 0350 is the only one you kept. Pretty high praise don't you think? Not saying you're wrong in your opinion of course just found it ironic a little lol.

I kept the 350 because it was a gift. The ergo's on the 350 don't fit my hand that well. The grip has my fingers cramped against the flipper. So, she sits in my safe. The PM2 ergo's fit my hands much better. That's not to say the 350 is a bad knife. To the contrary. For some folks it may be a great knife. But, for me, it just doesn't fit. The thick blade doesn't slice as nicely as the PM2's blade........etc. So, for me, it is the PM2 hands down.

I have both, as mentioned above the pm2 is a better slicer but i prefer my zt over the pm2 just because i like beefier knives. However, you can't go wrong with either choice/

Another vote for getting both. They will likely become your 2 favorite EDC's for different reasons.

I bought a ZT0350, and its my favorite knife. It just feels so perfect in my hand and I love the style and dimensions of the blade. But that being said, I never owned a Spyderco, I loved having a flipper and loved the SpeedSafe from Kershaw/ZT.. so I spoiled myself.. However I am in the process of buying a Para 2 as well so my advice would have to be buy both. :D Worst thing that could happen is you dont like one of them so you trade it on here for which ever one you do like and end up with twins. :D

One thing I will advise is that if you buy a ZT0350 make sure the blade is centered before hand, open it and close it a couple of times to make sure it doesnt glide over (or ask the person selling it to do so) because I bought a ZT0350 that came off center, sent it back got one centered, and now this one is off center. But if you get one that is off center dont worry too much, ZT's customer service will center it for free. (and sharpen it) Which is where my new one is heading. Goodluck in which ever knife you choose. They are both great blades. Even with this centering issue Id still choose my ZT0350 over the Para 2, but thats just because I like wide, flat, recurves, and it just feels great in my hand.

I have the 0561 and para2, not sure if its similar to 0350? I find the para2 easier to get out of my pocket, especially with wet hands, the para is thin and light, the g10 very grippy, the blade an awesome slicer, the m390 stays sharp long.

Saying that though the ZT gets a lot of pocket time which surprised me, I thought no knife would bump the para as go to edc!

Hey, I have a tough decision to make i dont know which knife to buy the zt or the para 2? If you had this decision what knife would you choose to get? I know all the difference between the two but i just dont know which to buy? So if you had any suggestions they would greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kyle:D

I really like both knives and both of mine were excellent examples of the manufacturer's capabilities... no flaws anywhere. I sold the ZT because it didn't offer any advantage to me over the Para for my needs. I have 4 Paras now and they do everything that a medium sized folder should. I've found that the Para's lighter weight makes them an easier carry with less "footprint" in my RFP. I'm not interested in AO so that didn't matter, and I don't particularly like recurve blades. It was an easy choice for me once I got to hold and use both of them.

Like so many have already said, both are great knives. I also own both but for me, the P2 is much more useful for me. Lighter and taking less pocket space, the blade shape and grind is a terrific slicer, yet it still has presence. I had the ZT0350 first, but much prefer the Para 2.

Not ideal shots but I already had them of the Para 2 vs Junior vs UKPK

Also, as others have said it is likely that you'll end up with both. That said, I'd recommend that you simply get the one that appeals to you most...
