Paramilitary 2 Lightweight SHOT Show 2026

Ok, i was starting to think he listed them before he had them in stock. Hopefully i will get an update today. Mostly just want to confirm that I got one for sure. Otherwise I need to be looking for another one.
Thanks

I received mine today from Northwest Knives (ordered friday, in my mailbox tuesday morning !!!)

My copy is absolutely flawless, as has been every BBB knife I've bought so far.

Action is perfect. Zero blade play, zero detent or pivot lash, perfect centering, zero lock-stick. The detent is strong. The bevel grind is perfect.

I've said it several times before - The PM2 LW is going to be the most popular model that Spyderco has ever released. It is just so good. It really shows that Eric spent a lot of time and energy in development. It is so much more than just a PM2 with plastic handles. And this 15V expression is a truly special knife. I feel privileged and proud to own one. Thank you Eric, Sal, and Shawn.

Just wanted to second this statement.

I bought the standard model on release and it's become my most carried knife now. I'm hoping they do a full CQI on the Para3 LW with what they did with the PM2. I cannot stress enough how good in hand that knife feels. The one and only thing and it's such an easy fix is just a gentle sanding of the inner edges and it has zero hot spots now. I had to cut up and bunch of cardboard from new appliances and while of course a razor knife would have been the proper tool where would the fun be in that... PM2 LW to the rescue.

I went through what your describing on the initial G10 PM2 15V Sprint, a few years ago. Bought the knife and didn’t receive shipping until the next week. Eric is a good guy and I’m almost 100% sure you’ll receive the knife if you got purchase confirmation. 😃

Definitely a strong detent..people won’t be shaking this blade out with a wrist flick!

I currently use Naniwa Pro stones on a bridge that mounts over my Manor House Sink.
Will I require Naniwa Diamond Pro stones to sharpen this little knife in 15V?
What grit is recommended?
Thanks.

BTW Amazon has Naniwa Diamond stones for much less than sites selling Diamond Pro.
The Pro comes with a dressing stone, other than that, same part #.What is the difference if any?

Well I wouldn't say it's required to use the Naniwa Diamond Pro's specifically but yeah Diamond or CBN abrasives in general are your best bet. Diamonds or CBN are harder than any of the carbides in 15V and any other steels for that matter, so they'll cut those no problem. Some will argue ceramics are just fine, but that's a whole other conversation and I'm not qualified to argue one way or the other. Just a guy who sharpens a lot and owns too many stones. That said, I've sharpened 15V on everything from cheap diamond plates to resin or metal bonded diamond stones, up to vitrified diamond stones with no problem, from as low as 325grit (well worn) up through about 4000grit. 15V will take whatever kind of edge you want, the edge stability is great. Personally I stick with about 400grit or 40um, but that's just my preferred every day edge.

As for the Naniwa Diamond Pro stones vs the ones bought from the big river site, I think they're the same, just reading the descriptions anyway. Both are resin bonded diamonds. I own a Naniwa Diamond stone I bought off the big river site and they too came with the dressing stone, at least the full size 8x3 stone did. Naniwa went and rebranded their all their stone offerings a few years back. The Naniwa Pro stones for example used to just be called the Chocera, so in the case of the Diamond stones I think they just added the "Pro" name to their Diamond stone line.

I stopped posting midday as it seemed demand was satisfied..figures🤨
Hit me up if nothing comes your way in the next week or so! 😎
I appreciate it! No worries.

I have the Manix LW and regular PM2 in 15V, so it won't be the end of the world if I don't land this one. But recent life changes now have me on the hunt when I was originally planning to sit this one out.

For some wrong reason I thought I'd be able to get one of these, but it looks like it's not going to be easy.

Yeah, I am a little surprised as well. There are many other 15V models still currently available, I didn't think this one would be so hard to find. Maybe it will get better? Hard to say now with the 15V being limited with no more being made ATM.

Well what are your thoughts!!!???
I like it!

Obviously feels different in the hand than a G10 PM2, but all good! Not necessarily better or worse.

My pivot was just a *touch* tight for my liking. Got it easily adjusted. Blade not quite centered, but better than other LW’s I’ve handled. It’ll be fine for carry.

Blade came quite sharp, as I think we’ve all come to expect with Spyderco’s 15V!

Perhaps the most noteworthy comment is agreeing with DA170 DA170 …… The PM2 LW scales feel MUCH more sturdy than the PM3 LW’s I’ve handled! This to me is a marked improvement for the line!

I think you’ll love yours, Murph!! 👍
