Shocking the threads at the main Spyderco forum aren't getting updated with alerts...

Although that's probably why these aren't selling out as fast. 🤔

The guy that monitored the drops (Buddafucco) on the Spyderco forums stopped at the end of last year…no one picked up the slack. The forum was also hit with a major DDoS attack the first few days of the drop, probably from the flippers not wanting the alert thread being updated!
 
This thing is flipping awesome. And great 2 day delivery from DLT for $5!! Can’t beat that! I think this will steal quite a bit of pocket time this summer. Mine was dialed in perfect I didn’t have to touch the pivot! IMG_5411.jpeg

The DDOS attack was stupid. It was slow for several days (Friday till Tuesday basically). Screw those people! :thumbsdown: 🤬 :poop:

I hadn't realized Budda had stopped updating the alerts threads. That would definitely do it!

I expect this will become my primary hunting folder. It's SO perfect for that role!!! :cool:
 
Wasn't it at Spyderco list price / SFO price? Seems like that is fair game if Sal himself can charge that price.
 
I hear ya. At the same time, it just tweaks my sense of fair play given the current online pricing.

But, I'll concede the MSRP argument.

I'm so used to fighting battles for our members that sometimes I miss a data point.

I think sellers should be required to leave the sale price up after a sale is completed. That way everyone has a record of going rates on the secondary market. I think that would really help to keep prices in line and folks trying to gouge could be called out on it.

I always leave my sale prices posted because I'm not ashamed of what I'm selling them for.

I had the same initial reaction, but then realized that Sal & Co charge the same.

Better yer fightin' fer us, than ag'in us! 🤠

Spyderco SFO sells online at MSRP to “encourage” traffic through the dealer network. Sprint Runs used to be part of OpFocus, I heard that it was being abused, so SRs and Flash Batch were taken out of program. 😞

I agree! The cost should be posted and only signed in Gold or high would see! I’m assuming it’s not technically cost effective for the forum to implement this! 🧐

Spark has already stated multiple times that he will not force sellers to leave the price in place. So, there's nothing we mods can do to enforce members doing so.

Also, it's against the rules to argue pricing in the Exchange. It's simply buy or pass. You can, of course, negotiate a better price via DM if the seller is amenable.
