Paramilitary 2 up and down blade play

I only adjusted the pivots. And again, I would like a knife that can be serviceable by its owner and if a knife like this develops blade play from just a bit of adjusting to the pivots, then I personally consider that a problem. I would like to thank you though for your input and to everyone who is trying to help me.

I completely understand what you are saying. If you want a knife you can take apart, clean, adjust, whatever than probably Spyderco isn't your preferred brand. They have had that warranty like that for years and have stated here on the forums they only want their trained cutlers working on their knives. Some companies don't mind, some do. I believe Chris Reeve encourages people to take apart and clean his knives. ( I'm not sure). I don't know about Benchmade. Kai/Kershaw either. Most all the companies encourage a customer to send them in if they are having problems and take care of the problems under warranty. Spyderco has a good program but the letter they send with every knife they return seems to hack some people off on a regular basis even though it isn't intended as a scold, but goes with all knives. :)

If they can't fix it they replace it, and if they can't replace it they issue equal credit ( MSRP)

I'm not talking about you but I see some people who don't think policies or rules should apply to them and rationalize it because of X, Y, or Z reasons. Some go further and believe if they kick up enough of a fuss they can get their way. ( you are most definitely NOT doing that! You have been calm and even tempered in fact). This kind of behavior certainly isn't limited to Blade Forum, or the internet. I have seen people doing it in Bigbox mart and restaurants too. It's a personality type.

After being on the forums for years sometimes I suppose I get confused about who is doing, or going to do what and I apologize for that.

Good luck getting your knife straightened out. When working right they are darn fine knives.

I'm really glad that you get where I'm coming from and calm, well-tempered conversations on forums are hard to come by unfortunately. I really do appreciate your input and you have given me great information and advice that will definitely serve me well in the future along with this situation. And yes the para2 is an excellent knife for I have witnessed it first-hand and spyderco is an excellent company I agree! Thanks again and I'm glad we came to a clear understanding. :)
