STILL kicking myself that I missed the sheath deal.....
Yeah kind of thinking the same - I brought mine to work for show and tell and my tactical cardboard gets a few weird eyes - "you paid how much for this? and no sheath?" ... I just tell them, if I have to explain it it's not worth my time and you still won't get it.

yeah i wish i didnt miss the sheath deal but im pretty sure i can re purpose some leather i have laying around :D

Reminds me a LOT of the finish on the AMSMO.:thumbsup:
I can't decide who she's gonna bunk with (piggy back sheath) yet.... ;)

Anyone get a shipping notice on the satin?
I got a shipping notice on something (already have the TG & Battle Saw) not sure what it could be besides the PR or an early TGM

I’ll have mines here tomorrow. That sheath looks good too. Sweet!!!

After carrying this blade around for the day it is everything I hoped for, hence my ordering four of them. My purpose for this blade is hiking and bushcraft. Weight, tip, blade thickness, and blade material are very important to me. As I was hoping this blade meets all the criteria. My only unknown is the BIG DC finish. Hopefully with its smooth finish it will be as corrosion resistant as satin, and coated infi. The tip is perfect for making holes, notches, and removing splinters. It is supper light weight, and the 4 inch blade length is perfect. As a comparison I listed some of my favorite hiking and bushcraft knives.
SOB black canvas 8.9 oz
PR G-10 BIG DC 6.3oz
PR green canvas 5.9 oz
MMS green canvas 4.2 oz
Cultellus tiger hide 3.7 oz
LT Wright GNS in 3v black canvas 7.9 oz

how do you like it directly compared to the GNS?

Ive mostly been using a gns 3v for this size knife recently and was wondering if the park ranger was gonna replace it for me.

Midwest firecraft
How about a comparison pic between this and SOB or group pic with all the once you mentioned ?
Thanks

I freaking love this blade

I think it really depends on your hand size, and if size and weight matter. On most of my trips weight really matters so I anticipate the PR will be replacing my GNS. I wear an XL glove and the handle is just big enough, which is fine as I want compact and light weight vs. the GNS that I could use for hours while whittling a piece of birch into a spoon with.

I carried mine around all day too and passed it around prolly 20 guys and a couple gals and everyone just fell in love with it. I've brought all my knives in and of all of them I think they liked this one about the best of all because it's not so, intimidating maybe? Unlike with the other blades no one asked me who I was going to chop up and bury in a field LOL!

Chris A Chris A That orange freaking pops in that photo like a mofo! I know's it's partially lighting but looks like the sht man!
