The original poll is about to be closed and I promised we would run a second poll for a thumb disk option and finger grooves. If you weren't part of the first poll, check it out here to get yourself up to speed:

As of right now, there are very clear winners in the blade steel and bolster category. This knife will definitely have nickel silver bolsters and S90V steel. The finish will most likely be stonewash, depending on how the sample knife comes out. As for blade shape, inlay and nail notch the voting is very close and may come down to what the sample looks like. I will be posting photos of mock ups to the threads when they are available from Buck.

Let's keep the discussion going! It's been very interesting so far!

Can you post a picture of what a typical thumb disc would looks like on a 110? I can't remember seeing one used by Buck and I'm sure I'm not the only one. .I like finger grooves! Has there been any thought on what emblem it will get?

My votes are in, but I probably won't get one if there are two key points...don't want a drop point and don't want blue. I'm very interested in seeing the thumb disk though....

Sadly, 50% of you are in the same boat. I wish I could make the universal knife, like an everlasting gobstopper, but tis the nature of us all!

The good thing is, is that if enough people get them on the first run, you might put out another with a different style that I think is perfect. Regardless of whether or not I get one, I think it's really cool that you are even asking for and taking our opinions into consideration :thumbup:

i voted both polls before looking at the results.
In tbis poll i voted with disk and without finger grooves.

I voted, no thumb disk and finger groove, traditionally yours, Preston

One feature I haven't seen offered and one I'd like to see as an option is a lanyard hole. Not really a useable feature for carry if there is no pocket clip (a lanyard with a belt sheath doesn't make sense) but occasionally a lanyard can come in handy for retention when working aloft and or over water.

I'am not a fan of the thumb disk 👎 Grooves or no grooves 👍 Aluminum 👎 Not offered but a stainless frame and clip would be sweet in my book. 🤓

I like the thumb disk idea but would still LOVE to see jimping on the back of the blade more than that. Different purpose I know.

I voted no disc, and yes to finger grooves. I think this project has surfaced as a 50 percenter. Only half may get what they want. Can enough sales be realized by only pleasing half? I'd be Very curious to know the results of purchases if both were done. Blade shape seems to be a real deal breaker. DM

I like the thumb disk idea with finger groves. In regards to blade shape I personally prefer the classic clip point but the drop point works just as well for my needs. No need for a nail nick with a thumb stud.
I can't wait to see where this goes! Whatever the end result, I like the idea of our input being a part of the process. It's pretty cool!

Sadly, there is no way to please everyone. :( But I'm in on this one all the way to the end. I will buy one.

I voted thumb disk. Could this be the first ever 110 with a thumb disc?

I voted finger grooves to aid the thumb disk in one hand opening. It should create space for the thumb and a foot hold for the fingers.
