I initially voted for no nail notch, but would prefer a nail notch over a disc...FWIW a disc would kill the deal for me. Preston

Clip point = notch
Drop point = no notch

For me anyway, though I don't really mind one way or another. This isn't Burger King, after all...

i think the reason the stonewash looks bad is because its next to the polished nickel... i think it would look great with matching bolsters or even black ones. that would really make this 110 modern looking IMO. and i love the thumb disk.

I voted, and in the end I'd be happy with anything, but would prefer no thumb disk and a nail nick. Also don't really want finger grooves, but whatever.

If you really want a custom 110 that's gonna sell out quick, try a nickel bolster, drop point s30v with the dark DLC coating like alaskan guides have.blaze orange micarta or g10 handles and a one arm bandit thumb stud.Id but half dozen myself.

^^ What WValtakis said ^^^......I would love to own a light weight 110 with a factory thumb disc and finger grooves...just because !

Ah if only that were possible. Unfortunately, everyone's opinion is so diverse, that even your excellent configuration would not sell out. We have orange G10 drop points that are very nice, and have not sold out. Though they are very steady.

I thought the same myself. Found out Buck will not stonewash the bolsters to match.....

I voted drop point - stone wash - disk and grooves.
Having seen it I would not vote disk or stonewashed again.
To me the drop point makes the knife.

Are the disks removable? just curious. Hey, add a compass on top and you'll never get lost.

Almost have a Lochsa 2.0 happening here. I vote thumb disk with finger grooves. I'd add screw together construction and a vantage style pocket clip.

It's your topic you can handle it the way you want. But why was a mock up done on a drop point blade with a disk when the 'no disc' is winning the vote?? Why not do a no disc beside it? Then read the comment. DM

It would have to be ground off. I'm certain I can grind it even with the flats and blend it in. But it could still be seen. DM

In the pic I quoted it looks like you can see a screwhead holding it on.

Cover the disk with your finger, disk gone. :D

WV, that would be great. A removable thumb stud (disc). What about no notch? Just seat it on top of the blade? Less work = less cost. This I could live with as it would be easy to remove. DM
