Heres a couple of pictures of my attempt to remove the partial serrations on my old Kershaw that had damaged serrations. I think it looks pretty cool, what do you guys think?

interesting, seams like that point caused by the removal of serration would work really well when "pull cutting" or whatever its called. honestly if it was my i would probably smooth it out into a re-curve, i dont know how much functionality you would gain but im my opinion it would probably look good.

Nice Job Ray, very clean...

I recently removed the serrations from and old Spyderco Police model.

I like it! It's unique and hasn't been done before (to my knowledge), well done:thumbup:

It's different! You did a pretty good job keeping it straight. I personally would have straightened it all the way out.

Hey Ray, here's a couple of pics of that Police model. The tip had broken off and i sent it back to spyderco for sharpening... What came back was a sheepsfoot I didn't care for. It sat on the self until one day i got bored and had way too much caffein... Here is the result. The overall blade length is around 3.5" with the cutting edge right around 3"

I've seen one other guy take the serrations off a combo edge. Didn't look that clean though.

I really like how that blade looks. I am in the wharny phase right now and wow I think I love love a Police like that.

That Police is SICK. I like the way you Kershaw looks too! Oddly enough, Im in the process of taking the serrations off my CE Endura. A friend on the Forum showed me a picture of a Griptilian he had done this to, and it looked awesome. Mine isnt done yet, so I dont have pictures, but I will take some as soon as I get it done.

What tools did you ALL use to remove your serrations? My friend that did the Griptilian CE used paper wheels I think. Ill email him and see if he will post a pic. Im using my Lansky Diamond Deluxe system, and its going slow. I had to put a whole new bevel on the entire knife though, Ive been modifying it and the first thing I did was stonewash the pocket clip, lockback, and blade. I cant wait until its finished.
