partial serrations removal

just an update, I've been using it to cut box tops off at work and it work awesome. The little ridge it now has hooks the box and makes it easier to cut the entire length of the box. Feels like it makes you hold the right angle for optimal cutting. I think its cause of the bit of the angle the ridge has. it also kinda saves the end of the blade from dulling as bad, so have part of the blade that stays sharper longer when cutting tougher materials. Overall, I really like it and think that I'm going to keep it the way it is. I think it makes for an excellent utility blade. I definitely like it more than the serrations it had before.

That Police is SICK. I like the way you Kershaw looks too! Oddly enough, Im in the process of taking the serrations off my CE Endura. A friend on the Forum showed me a picture of a Griptilian he had done this to, and it looked awesome. Mine isnt done yet, so I dont have pictures, but I will take some as soon as I get it done.

What tools did you ALL use to remove your serrations? My friend that did the Griptilian CE used paper wheels I think. Ill email him and see if he will post a pic. Im using my Lansky Diamond Deluxe system, and its going slow. I had to put a whole new bevel on the entire knife though, Ive been modifying it and the first thing I did was stonewash the pocket clip, lockback, and blade. I cant wait until its finished.

I used a course file and a diamond sharpener. I got lucky and the file was the exact length of the serrations and it made it really easy to get the shape I was after. The hardest part for me was getting the desired angle on the ridge .
