..as a lawyer, you know that my opinion has as much weight as any argument in a court room. I can argue from any side I decide. ..hence the reason for a judge or jury in deciding. ..so don't give me that line that you know best and your opinion is law.

..if you're representing BF in a legal manner, then I'll have to abide by your decision, but it doesn't mean I have to agree w/ it.

..and just so it's clear, I know <i>nothing</i> of copies being disseminated. I lent my *copy* of a video to a fellow member.. ..I don't think anyone has the original tape. ..they're all copies. I bought it. I can back it up if I want to protect my investment.

..however. ..this is neither the place nor forum to discuss such matters.

..altho.. How would so many of these companies like it if they found out so many of their marketing pictures were used in a forum such as this? ..there are no credits given to the photographer.. ..its a fine line..

..but. whatever. Breakthru can do whatever he wants w/ the DVD i sent him.

It seems that Huntflix was just trying to protect BF and BF'ers. I've had nothing but great experience with him and Huntflix.com, and so I appreciate him voicing his opinion and experience here. It's contributions like his that help keep BF around.

I wouldn't think your opinion of the law holds as much weight as the actual law itself, and the multitude of cases related to copyright infringement which have been won by the giants that be.
 
Magic Dot, you're right. Opinion, yours or mine, is not what is important, but rather what the law is. I am not representing BF in a legal capacity and am not a mod. I did see something that I believed could be a problem and mentioned it.

Perhaps I should have left off my opinion from my last post because it got in the way of the solution I offered.

Sorry I haven't kept up with this a little more to keep you posted of what is going on. I do not want to put the forum or anyone in any kind of legal trouble. So, I will not be sending out the discs I was loaned because it seems like very shakey ground. I really like hanging out here and I don't want to get the boot. It's too bad I can't send out DVD's I was loaned. It's too bad because there is some really cool stuff.

GOOD NEWS:
A forum member offered to loan me the legit DVD so we can do this passaround. Everyone say thank you to John (FLIX). After I get the loaned to me DVD, I will be sure to loan it to the first guy on the list.

This will only happen with the Mods approval which I'm asking for right now. I also going to re-read this thread again.

So hang in there. We will all get to watch this awesome guy named Dick.

Sorry to be behind on my comments on this (thanks Flix!) I long mailed it off after watching it 3 times. The man was a wizard with construction. Someday I want to go see his place in person. It brought strong desires to mind about learning to support myself with a far greater self-sufficiency than I currently possess. Thanks for the opportunity to learn.
 
OK, I got this in the mail today. Watched it with my parents, who are up to see the new baby. They loved it, and I enjoyed it for what must be my 3rd or 4th viewing overall. Planning on sending this off on Monday, provided I get the address of who's next. Rksoon, I presume that's you?
