Hmmm, snakeskin has possibility. I hadn't really thought of that as I was thinking more about wood.

If I went with snakeskin micarta, would you cold blue the blade or get a satin finish??? She is A2.:)

Both would look good and cold blue would provide some corrosion resistence.

All those are good ideas. One thing that looks impressive is Garth's G-Rex grips. Lots of good combo choices, like Black G-10 under Snakeskin micarta... That way you could get some magnum sized handles with Snakeskin.
 
Thank you to all those that participated in the passaround.
I just got the SHBA back after it's trip around the US with a short stop in Wauseon.
Jerry and crew polished out the micarta damage and smoothed out the protruding smooth bolt fastener.
It looks like it's ready for another round of beatings.
Hope everyone enjoyed their time with the knife and we all appreciate your feedback in this thread.
