Passion for knives has come full circle, what should I buy?

I went through it all.... started with a SAK, ended with ordering my own custom Leu Hamachi. Then I just stopped buying knives, sold a lot off, and started carrying one knife most of the time. But lately I've been creeping back onto IG and the forums and it's looking pretty tempting. What should I buy? I loved my expensive knives like the Norseman, Hamachi, Satu, but I'd like to keep it low. I have to worry about buying a second truck now so budgets are limited! :D

So let me give my criteria.....

-I've tried all the basics at some point (Grip, Pm2, Blur, many others)
-I like tough knives! I slap my 0630 and Adamas around. My Tilt and Sebenza sit pretty in the Pelican.
-I also like good fit and finish!

Buy a belt grinder and a forge... that's coming full circle!

If you like your ZT0630 maybe consider some of the other ZT Knives like the 562CF, 801 or go a little bigger in size with a 301! If you want something a little different but great fit and finish, check out the Southern Grind Bad Monkey or Spider Monkey. Great knives, incredible fit and finish and love to be used. If your budget is a bit higher go for a Hinderer! Just my suggestions, I am sure you will get many more. Welcome back!

There are some really nice European traditionals out there.
There is always a ton of fixed blades out there to try, from mega choppers too gentlemanly pocketable knives.
Start making your own. ;)

I'm in the same boat and been "revisiting" slips, small fixed blades just like I was did when I first got into this hobby. It's actually a nice change.

Quest for the perfect multitool. I am loving colored alox Vic Farmers in my pocket lately.

Maybe add a sweet camp knife for the last outing or two before winter.

I'd buy something really inexpensive; but awesome like a sweet opinel, hignokami, svord, mercator or something like that...:D

How about a Freeman 451 Buttonlock Flipper? Tough, good F&F, not horribly expensive and definitely off the radar for most.

I'm pretty much the same way. I'm waiting for the mini Kwaiken, if I find that I like the knife I'm going to have one of the scale makers customize it for me. I've pretty much understood that outside of maybe a Rockstead Higo, I don't have a personal need for super high end knives or super steels. All the major regular stuff works for me fine and in some cases I like a lot of the cheaper knives out there more than I did my expensive ones.

After the Boker Kwaiken, I'm going to find an Elmax Blur or S30V and swap that blade into my regular blue handled one as I like the color and probably sell off the other one which turns into a regular Blur. Not sure where to go for me after that.

If you're going to evolve to the next plane, either make your own or have customs (not just handmade, but designs you draw and collaborate on) to a maker.

Zero

I have done the same started with case slip joints and yesterday i got a lochsa. Maybe do what im going to do buy something like a sage or techno and get it pimped out.

I think the important thing with getting a blade you will love is understanding what YOU need from it. I have bought some knives that I thought were really cool but they didn't fit my needs and in short time the honeymoon was over. My most expensive blade has never been used and I regret spending so much money on it, because it just sits in the safe. Buy something you will actually use. Or save the money and take one of those knives you have sitting around as collectors and put them to use. The fact you love knives means you love to cut things so figure out what you want to cut and let that guide your next purchase. Best of luck!
