Dowell LC in A2 steel. Patina is all natural over the last 7 months. The blade doesn’t have much patina at all though. Bret explained that due to the high heat temper that the spring needs, a lot of chromium is burnt out of the steel making it less corrosion resistant than the blade is.

Don’t mind the dings in the walnut, it’s been dropped a couple of times lol.

Patina - I get it & understand why some really like that look. I just don't care for it. As for my older knives (I have nothing truly vintage, but alot of my Case knives are 70-80's vintage), I go about as far as I can (without removing metal) to make them look as close to new as possible - just takes alot of elbow grease and care to not round over swedge grinds and careful buffing - as much patina as possible is removed as a matter of course. I don't like relic'd electric guitars either - mine get played alot & still look showroom new. I'm like a magpie I guess - I like all things shiny ...
