Thank you Mitch, the Pradel from France offers a long blade and over the years the Horn has not shrunk or deteriorated at all, it's all steel construction too. The GEC 38 Farmer's Jack is one of their best patterns in my view- unusual and actually very useful. Single spring with a slight Hawkbill (more like a claw?) and an extended Spey which is a budding tool. A Hawk is just right for opening clamshells or tightly bound packets. for instance, I got a book yesterday that was very tightly packaged, a 'normal' blade tip might damage the cover but a Hawk just slides in sideways and flush, no damage. Its Spey type blade sharpens things very neatly, takes cuttings or dead heads and slices garlic micro fine :cool:

Patina is referred to as "toning" on coins - it is usually sulphur that causes the rainbow effect. Garlic is loaded with it, as are eggs. One might intentionally achieve a "tone" a coin by exposure (such as exposing it in a tupperware container to crushed hard boiled eggs, time and contact will alter the patterns), which is why most toned silver Morgans (a recent trend in the community), with their monster rainbows of purple, blues, oranges and reds are no longer certifiable/slabbed without a negative grade, if at all. So, I am not a betting man, but.....
