I recently emailed Robert at Patriot Knives to see if he could make a special order of a blade from a maker not in his regular available list.
He checked with his suppliers and replied that there were better deals to be had than what he could sell at - included his cost and his selling price.
Once I figured in shipping from the other guys, the difference was little enough I agreed to his price. (I appreciate that kind of honesty)
communication throughout the deal was outstanding and my new knives beat me home.
