Bad Patriot Leather

Sorry if you feel my responses to a known Survive! shill are dbaggy.
That's the only thing you are willing to apologize for? Backhanded at that even...

Anyway, in my eyes the customer isn't made whole until the return shipping is covered too.

Potential customers should know that if you order from Patriot Leather, if there is an issue with your item, you will be out money even with payal protection because Patriot Leather won't do the right thing.

FYI, Don't confuse a keyboard warrior with someone who simply won't take your shit. Keyboard warriors, Like Quiet, are the ones always running their mouth about what they will supposedly do or say in person. Of course getting them to show up and actually do just that seems to prove rather difficult for some reason, but they will go on long and loudly about it.
Known Survive!Knives shill? You're dumber than you sound here "Skyler". How about you just do what's right by the OP instead of confirming for all of us that you are what we say you are, and then go away? Every time you post, you reinforce the negative vision we all have of you.

And he wonders why he has to come here and defend his dbag behavior. Patriot Leather is starting to look a lot like Survive!Knives in the way it treats it's customers. See what I did there? :D

Like me? Heh, that is absolutely meaningless from a guy who showed his ass and lost a bunch of business from the biggest knife forum on the planet...over SEVENTY NINE DOLLARS!

LOL I guess your integrity is cheap, since you sold it at such a discount. Well done.

I'm just a "keyboard warrior"? Nah, looks like you're the keyboard warrior here. Big talk from a guy who depends on having a good name in a super saturated market. There is literally nothing you do better than like, twenty other people doing that work. Also, sorry, I'm not going to meet up to do whatever it is "in person" you think this situation warrants. Do you perhaps owe ME money and I've forgotten? LOL

Great work burning this bridge. And over $79. Not smart. Definitely hilarious, but not smart.

It was a super lame attempt at obfuscation. Facts are, Patriot Leather screwed a customer over, wasted their time, and even after paypal made Patriot Leather refund the buyer, Patriot Leather still did not make the buyer whole by refunding the return shipping cost and is now acting like a fool for all to see. Shameful.

Bladeforums does have a presence whether Patriot believes so or not. They should of just sent the money back right away and saved face. If someone googles Patriot Leather this forum thread will surface and potential customers will make their decisions based on this info.

When googling Patriot Leather Company, Bladeforums.com is the 4th result. Of the bladeforums.com search results on google for Patriot Leather Company, most of them are unflattering to say the least.

In the above post referring to Patriot Leather Company, do you mean "unfaltering", or "unflattering"? I think Patriot Leather Company's response here is rather unflattering, myself, but that's on Patriot Leather Company.

Ah, thank you for catching that error in my post referring to the unflattering reviews provided by bladeforums.com during a google search for Patriot Leather Company. I can however use the term "unfaltering" to describe Patriot Leather Company 's continued poor responses to issues their customers have had. In that regard, Patriot Leather Company has not faltered to provided garbage customer service, including in this instance where paypal needed to refund the customer because Patriot Leather Company was unable to correct a basic problem.

My father, who is a retired Chief Warrant officer in the Army, purchased a left handed intolerable sheath for a Tops Brakimo from Patriot Leather on May 21, 2020. It took four months to receive the sheath but instead of shipping my father a left handed sheath, he shipped him a right handed one. My father has no computer or smart phone as he is completely old school when it comes to technology so he goes through me to do all of his internet shopping for him. I contacted Patriot Leather on his behalf and Skyler responded with "Please return, I will get a new one in this weeks build list." I replied asking if he was going to send my father a return shipping label. To this day, neither myself or my father have received the replacement sheath or any response to the multiple emails I have sent to him. We will not being doing any more business with this arrogant piece of horse dung. Oh and if he replies to this posting, I really don't care what he says to try and defend himself because after how many others have posted the same experience, it is clear who the real offender is. I just feel like an ass for even recommending this company to my father in the first place. I wish this guy would do everyone a favor and take a long walk off a short peer. Isn't there some way to contact some local officials to report this guy's bad business practices?

Please contact Makael Makael , he will make you anything you want, with a quick turn around time, and the sheath will be super quality. He is a very talented leather bender here on Bladeforums!

No surprise to see Patriot Leather up to his old tricks and cheating his customers as he has in the past. No doubt he'd offer some lame ass excuse as to how his ineptitude is the Op's fault instead of admitting he's a dumbass and doesn't know his left from right. Typical dbag behavior from Skyler and Patriot Leather. Too bad.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Definitely should have sent you a return label since the error is on patriot leather's part. That's no way to do business

I had a holster company send me a left handed kydex holster. The holster arrived late (lomg after the predicted delivery date). They had to nerve to ask me if I was sure it was a left handed holster. When I responded that I was sure it was a left handed holster because when worn on the right hand side (strong side) that it presented the gun butt forward.

Then then asked me to take pictures wearing the holster, to prove what I was saying.......

I did so. They had me return it, and sent me another. It was right handed.....but even tightened all the way down, it would toss my gun to the ground like a toddler given broccoli. At random moments I would hear the sound of my new firearm skittering across concrete or asphalt. I had do spend a few hours altering the holster (deepening the trigger guard retention depression). I also had to add a pair of wider washers. Once I had fixed that flaw, the holster its self began to leap out of my beltline at the slightest hint of a bump, or jostle. Even with a heavy steel core gun belt...the retention clips did not work. of course that holster was still not designed to cover the sharp metal sights on the gun.....so into the unused pile it went. Even with all of that trouble, i have not started a negative thread,, or left negative feedback, because the company has offered to replace or refund. It was not worth my trouble....but offer satisfied me enough I don't need badmouth the company online.

A simple "let us make it right" was all it took.

Easy way to keep your company name shiny and nice!!

Patriot Leather should take notes. An easy "Oops, my bad" and a follow up refund or.........replacement with the correct model would have been sufficient.

"him" ??????????????

Sounds like he was saying he would check out Makael Makael for future leather work.

It's always worth checking GB&U.
For leather work Paul Long is not only a legend, and still does the best work out there, but he will only send you an invoice when you receive your sheath.
For me it's a no-brainer.

If you do decide to order from Mr. Storm, read the "changes/cancellations" page on his site. It lists what he charges for changes and cancellations:

"Returns And Cancellations

Cancellations

We have many products and options so it is best to settle on exactly what you want before placing an order. All orders are automatically sent to our cutting department as soon as they are placed. During this process we incur irreversible costs in both materials and labor.
Therefore, while we understand that orders might need to be cancelled at times, we are unable to do it free of charge. We strictly adhere to the following cancellation policy:
  1. Orders cancelled before cutting: 15% Cancellation Charge
  2. Orders cancelled after cutting: 50% Cancellation Charge
  3. Orders changed before cutting: No Charge
  4. Order changes after cutting (Color, Model, Etc): 50%

Returns

Your order is in no way pre-fabricated - it doesn't even exist until we build it from raw materials. Every product on the site is custom built according to the specifications you choose before checking out. As such, we cannot accept returns or exchanges unless the error was our fault.
  1. No exchanges for different colors
  2. No exchanges or upgrades to different models or knives
  3. No add ons after the Sheath has been built
  4. No returns"
How in the heck can you ever make a change, or cancel an order, and avoid a 50% charge, if "All orders are automatically sent to our cutting department as soon as they are placed.? That statement makes any request to change or cancel an order impossible, without a 50% charge. Seems like he should just say that from the start. His street address isn't present on his site, or in customer communications-just the city. BBB lists his address, and it is a house. So where's the "cut department"? The basement?
In practice, the second you place an order, you're on the hook for 50%. Maybe he should just say that. In over 20 years of buying online, I've never seen such a blockheaded policy.
