Pattada, I'm in lust

Hmm, I love he design/influence but not the price/lock. I'd buy 2-3 of this in FRN with the same steel or BD1 at a lower price point. The Paramilitary 2 is basically a heavily modified Pattada as is though.

o_O:confused: I have a Para2 and a Pattada, and the only difference is everything. That's like saying a Bowie knife is just a heavily modified khukri.

The Pattada is a handsome knife! It looks like a knife that James Bond would pull from his tuxedo breast pocket.

I like the Black G-10 on this model-it looks really well done.

K390 would be interesting. Think I'd like M4 or 204P/M390 more on the Pattada though.

I mean in terms of Pattada design... The Paramilitary 2 shares some similar elements. The "Pattada" by Spyderco is just a take on the Pattada which is a whole variation of knife.

Would there be any interest in this model in K390?

sal

Absolutely Sal! A K390 version would be the ultimate Pattada/Resolza!

(And this is one of the reasons why, when I want a gold standard, modern production cutting tool, I pretty much always choose Spyderco. I'm not only getting superior functionality, design, and industry benchmark materials, but I feel like I'm supporting a superior ethic, as well.:cool::))

Thanks Sal, you're a champ!

When you get used to M390, S110V and Maxamet, N690Co just doesn't seem to hold an edge very well. I suppose if you are used to AUS8 and 440A it would be different, but Sal has spoiled me.

That is a VERY nice looking knife. Added to the short list. But now I'm torn between the advocate and PM3. Darn you Spyderco!!

Sal Glesser Sal Glesser , any chance of a Pattada in a steel other than N690? I'm itching to get a Pattada, but I'm not so sure I'll like the steel. In your expert opinion, what other steel that Spyderco uses would you equate N690 to?

Thanks Sal!

No picture in thread. :) Thread need picture.
Oh . . . heck . . .
I was doing OK until you did that; now I'm all excited again.
and no K390 to buy.

I am working on a smaller version.
. . . er . . . ummmmmm . . .
I'd be OK with the old length (as long as she's wearing K390).
Smaller's nice.
3.92 inch (100mm) blade length is better (for me).
Please and thank you.

PS: how about both ? One for work and one for days off.
