1. Akahisa Kawasaki of Japan, XL Kiridashi. Nickel Silver fittings, burl scales (Quince wood, I think). High satin and hammer forged finish VG-10 blade is 0.23” think. Chisel ground of course and astonishingly sharp. Sheath/Saya in leather with tie.
4.75” blade/9” overall. Expertly contoured handle is comfortable and secure making it well suited to the Kiridashi’s original intent of wood carving.
