seriously the traditional forum. good bunch who know a whole lot over there. some of the good folks here are there too.
 
Yes figured you all did just collect Buck exclusively and i find learning about knives and knife industry history to be a fun hobby.

Looks great but since i don’t plan on collecting a bunch of them i want one made in the USA. Is there a Buck Trapper made in the USA?
 
The Buck 382 Trapper is smaller that the Case 54 Trapper.It is the size of the Case Mini Trapper.

There is a Case Collectors Club on the internet,it's just not at this site.
 
Yes i did get the impression it was smaller.
I will check that Case site as i am now intrigued ( no! help! not another branch sprouting on my knife collecting tree?) and will do some digging.
As i said i have a Boker Trapper same size as the Case and like it very much. It was $60 plus. Made in Germany not China.
 
Buck has USA made 311 (made by Camillus) and 312 (made by Buck) out there. Both discontinued but they crop up for sale, especially the 311 (similar to the Case 62048). OH
