That's a cool little dashi. It's interesting to see people offering hand mades. .... Gives me ideas...

I wish there were more kiridashi/Candiru type items. The two- and three-finger knives. I love fixed blades, and they're undoubtedly stronger, but it's hard to carry even a neck knife in the workplace, where a folder goes unnoticed.

The Truper knife from jjoanty01 arrived today. It is a solid, heavy, smooth thing, and will be a good splinter picker. I feels more solid that an ad knife should, nothing like the china junk of today. I'd almost think this is a Japan model, feels kinda Kershaw or Moki but it also reminds me of the United ones from the 90's, no tellin'. It's a bit bigger than I thought too, as the comparison pic to my EDC E4 shows. Thanks for the great edge on it also.

Okay bladeforums community,

I have two more offerings to add. Once again these will be shipped on Tuesday and I will select from the responses before then to find someone who needs them for good reasons. Along with this, the person needs to either be a new person who has not received and/or plans to participate by following the rules. Not on the list stated at the beginning of the thread for being a leech. As well as, someone who intends to strive to be the kind of person this thread encourages. Based on these criteria those who E-mail me through the forum will be given a chance to be selected for a leatherman squirt es4 or leatherman mini-tool (this is the retired version of compact pliers that fold out to full size).

Looking forward to your responses. Also please state which one you are interested in. Both are being paid forward, however it is a one per person with a maximum of two different people receiving.

Simple man, I noticed that you mentioned Moki. I had not heard of them but then a friend gave me one. It is the smoothest, most solid lockback i own.

With Whora beig one of the main offenders (and one of the only 2 to make "the list") I don't see any problems with people mentioning it every so often (especially when he's at it again), but it is a done deal, no reason to engauge in argument with him...

Whora the ball is in your court now, maybe instead of claiming stuff behind the scene you should either just give up on participating or better yet step up and give some more.

Or mail some of the stuff he already gave away. The few things he did put up never got to anybody.

I've got 2 neck knives that carry discretely:

Kabar Acheron - Though I prefer this one for general 'outdoorsing'. Hunting, camping, hiking etc.

and I have this claw necker that I won in Iceman's Youtube giveaway. I put a nasty edge on it and wear it almost daily. It actually sits very discretely. Most of the time I don't even notice I'm wearing it and no one has asked about it :p

none of these are being paid forward... yet ;)

I'm trying my hand at making with all the free time I have out of the time I get home. One reason is that I wanted to design and make some nice small knives of that size. I have tried a couple designs to try to make a kiridashi that is carried in the wallet. I don't have any real tools or experience, but it's super fun just to shape a knife out of a bar of steel. A fellow member recently offered to heat treat two for free, just another example of the generosity here.

That reminds me, I actually dig the designs you had in the notebook you sent me. Especially that 6" necker. I'd be down to buy one of those.

Havent payed forward, or taken anything in several threads, but I have some more stuff up for grabs tonight. This stuff will not be shipped out until next tuesday however, because my wife and I are leaving tomorrow to go out of town for our 1 year anniversery which is Sunday.

1. Paperweight that easily moved with two fingers from one side of a desk to the other. claimed by REMYKAZE

2. Uncle mikes soft IWB holster for something around the size of a Glock 23 (what I carried in it) claimed by nyoutdoors

3. Uncle mikes soft IWB holster for something around the size of a Browning Hi power or 1911. (both fit well) claimed by nyoutdoors

I have since went to only carrying in a King Tuck rig or in my versipack but I would like these to go to someone who would actully use them. They are very comfortable.

4. BSA scope that would be great for a beginner on a .22 Claimed by xICEMANX

5. ATTENTION IF YOU OWN A MOSIN NAGANT. If you have ever wanted a scope that wasnt mid eye relief on this rifle, and you have access to a vise, a saw, a drill press, some calipers, and some mecanical knowledge, this is for you. Scope mounting kit for a Nagant. Requires drilling and tapping the reciever for the rail, cutting your current bolt handle off, and attaching a bent handle. Sounds extreme, but it is a great kit. I have installed several. And really, Its a 100.00 dollar gun anyway.

I'd like the BSA scope for my sons .22 if I can. Thanks!

Just a shout out to raindog101, received the cryo today and it's an awesome little knife... so little in fact that my girlfriend who recently had her new spyderco pink dragonfly confiscated at the airport was eyeing it up and so guess what?
She just loves it, i think it's the spring assist! but anyway thanks again and just know that it is being carried and appreciated... even though it is my girlfriend .... aka "the terrorist" RE: see airport comment.

Scott

Hey, glad to see it found a good home. My wife tried it out too, but didn't like it. And it was just too darn small for me.

xICEMANx, the scope is yours. I tried to pm you but your inbox is full. I will ship out tuesday.
